Hey great info. I’m doing 60x30 walk-in shower using Dreamline pan and planning to build kneewall on right side blocking toilet. Apparently Dreamline voids warrant if any modifications be done on their pan not that it matters in my case due to getting pan from someone on Craigslist. Wondering bout placing weight on their curb. Will do proper sand/cement mix per instructions and also add couple long pieces of 2” rigid insulation into curb to deaden piterpater sound. Concerning the void warranty thing perhaps the thought be about weight so thinking of somehow cantilevering kneewall up over curb taking lionshare of weight off it also anchoring to end wall. Having less than 15” wall to toilet drain may have frame 2x3 wall too. Simpson must make a gusset to accommodate this , my question is glass sizing. Cause clearance need plan door at less than 30”, 28 would be good making for 32” x42” kneewall . Could you shoot me rough estimate on cost of door, buttress and adjoining glass panel. Not sure height you recommend but if 72-80 seeming standard.m@ 72 we be looking at 30x32” panel with 28x72 door. I’m down for dirty deals having chipped blemished product is fine. Hi Ben, I'm a Glazier here in Northeastern North Carolina, and I was wondering if you could give some insight on what type of door seals it is you use on your heavy glass systems or maybe make a video covering the topic. I've tried adhesive seals and/or double stick tape in the the past and they never seem to stay put and requires multiple trips and maintenance than the other types, especially if the glass has a coating or the tile is in and out.
