As what I think, the Royal Thai Armed Forces had to draft Thai citizens who aged 20 must undergo 2-years military service as the Reserve Force I thought this purpose is to form a Reserve Force for territory protection especially from the nearby neighbors, but I found a source saying another purpose is to find an eligible men to serve in the Thai Armed Forces There’s only way to avoid this and it’s very infamous way to do so, you have to join Territorial Defense Student which is Thai Military Youth organization under the command of Ministry of Defense and Royal Thai Army, it’s was designated as Reserve Force. You have to undergo the course on 3 training years to get permanent exemption from the conscription.
