Thank you - definitely go to experience it! Last year my tax return was unexpectedly very large and so I had no issue putting most of it toward a trip.

This is pure magic. No pun intended. To be honest, I was really reluctant to even considering using dehancer. I always thought you could just achieve the same thing with nodes but DAMN. This absolutely blew me away.

Did you use a mist filter shooting this or was it just the sigma? Other than the ND I guess? Why use the ND if its in camera? Or is that a black mist filter? Thanks!

Looks great, what ISO were you using in the nighttime shots? Also, did you de-noise? The footage looks really clean.

Dehancer and SIgma 18-35 is a gem. Did you use a monopod to get it this stable? Great work.

Thank you - During the trip I bought a over-shoulder camera bag and just rested the camera on it. In resolve applied the "camera lock" and it was very surprising how solid they came out - May use this more often🤷

Great video! Looks awesome with the Sigma lens! How would you compare the 6K FF and Pro against the 6K G2? I'm considering the 6K G2 over the other two, because the difference of the 6K Pro pretty much only is the built-in ND filter. The 6K FF is full-frame, which can be worth it, but not sure if that's a big leap worth the money. I'm making narrative shorts, social media content and some documentary stuff. Currently have a rigged out BMPCC 4k (with ext battery, matte box and nd filters, ext monitor etc.) and I am also not sure if it is worth the upgrade to the 6k G2. The 6k G2 has a crazy deal of €1500 and if I sell the BMPCC 4k, it is only €400 extra for me to upgrade. The 6k FF is €800 more expensive than the G2, lol. Thank you!

I just got the 6K Pro, Sigma 18-35 f1.8, AND I’m trying to go to Japan in 2025 so this video felt oddly specific to me 😆 Love the shots, music choice, and sound design! Were you just using the onboard mic or using an external one?

Thank you Nathan. Congrats on the new 6K! Great cameras. I was using a sennheiser shotgun on top. Loved having high quality nat sound.

It's crazy how this camera can give stunning shots and at the same time nasty results. I know it, I've heard it, and I will say it ; the camera doesn't make the images. You do. And that is the perfect example.. I'm not a pro yet but I can see from a video to another the changes..I think it's really about the composition, the lighting, the sound design, the music, and most of all the story telling that will make a big change from something bad to good. I really camera but the bad footages out there makes me hesitate even if I know all of that lol. Your video makes me want to invest though lol great video dude, thank you. Your shots are stunning, I love the music and the colors too. The 18-35 is a must have I think, like a base lens.

@@collinausbury August .. Don't do it. It was stifling in Tokyo, if you want the heat and humidity in that month, go to a Japanese beach.

Thank you for the good video. Thanks to your video, I bought a used Black Magic BMPCC and Sigma Art Lens. I have one question. Why is the size of the variable ND filter 77mm? The lens says 72mm. Is there any special reason? I'm planning to buy it, but I'm hesitating. I would really appreciate it if you could answer. I got a lot of inspiration from this video. thank you bro

Congrats on the new camera purchase! That's so exciting, man! To answer your question, I have a ton of lenses and a lot of filters. The filters I use are Black Promist, and they're 77mm. I get step up rings for all my lenses so they all accept 77mm filters, that way they're all compatible! The step up rings I recommend are the knurled rings from SIMMODLENS.com, check em out! I didn’t. Had a sling over bag and rested the camera on it. Might make a video on street cinematography, it’s really fun!

@@collinausbury no way that's awesome, I was actually really impressed from the beginning with the decision to go with stable, locked off shots in a youtube world where there's all the movement (when unnecessary) and fancy cuts (which I've definitely tried to mimic myself in the past lol), really allows for the the viewer to take in the scenery and breathe. 👏 👏 I got a (relatively smaller) duffle bag and put 4 square pillows in it that I want to try out as a stabilizer too so this video gives me even more encouragement to do that 👏
