Second demo/tutorial of the Frames Parasite free alternative firmware for Mutable Instruments Frames. More information and download at mqtthiqs.github.io/parasites.
I just bought my first case and modules a few hours ago. Arturia 6U plus Stages, Frames, Blinds, Marbles, and Links, which I will pair with my existing Minibrute 2S and 0-Coast. I started watching this video and saw "Instant Steve Reich Clapping Music." As a Reich fan, I was so happy to see that! As the owner (in a few days) of this module... Even happier!
I finally found a very interesting use for Frames in my system :) you patched 1, 2 & 3 inputs. are there ... still inputs in your mods or trigger outputs ?
I have 4 audio sources going in to the 4 inputs, 4 triggers going from the outputs to the audio sources, mix out going to my audio output and offset set to +10v and all I'm getting is clicks. I can't seem to figure out how to get to behave as a mixer as well as a trigger source. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, a question about saving in the quad sequence mode, i held ADD for more than 3 secs and it randomized rather than saved (doh). How do I save while in this mode?
When nothing is plugged into a channel's output, it is summed into the MIX output, so the first 3 channels have audio at their input and are all summed into MIX. About Channel 3: When nothing is plugged into the input, a +10V constant voltage is normalled to it. This means that, at the output of this voice will be these +10V, attenuated by the voice's envelope (which is triggered by the Euclidean sequencer). This output, essentially an envelope, is then routed to an external LP filter fed with white noise, so when the envelope is open I hear the noise full-spectrum, and when the envelope closes the cutoff frequency is so low that the noise is inaudible (too low frequency). Does this answer your question?
Ok, i asked because in the manual was told to feed the 4 inputs and "voilà!", but i saw only 3 inputs patched and listen 4 sounds... But, yes, thats the envelope, now is clear! Thank you for reply and congrats for your great Parasites!
