I have 4 audio sources going in to the 4 inputs, 4 triggers going from the outputs to the audio sources, mix out going to my audio output and offset set to +10v and all I'm getting is clicks. I can't seem to figure out how to get to behave as a mixer as well as a trigger source. What am I doing wrong?
I've been going back and forth on this forever! Trying to talk myself down mainly lol, but that thing at 0:58 sent chills down my spine and sealed it. I'm clicking buy now with my eyes closed🤣
I just told my wife, that I wanted to buy panties to put on, just so I can take them off and throw them at this module. I just ordered it and it's on the way.
Hi, Matthias! Thank you for the wonderful Parasites hacks, I have them on both my Frames and Warps already. I just got Tides V2 a few days ago. Will Parasites work on the 2018 V2 module?
Just one question someone (or Matthias). Although the module is made for making more complex sounds, I'm curious to know 'if' it can also be used (or made to be) a single sounding oscillator? After all, there are moments in your work flow where you need just a nice sounding saw/sine/etc to hold the melody/bass line. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you can set the number of oscillators anywhere between 1 and 16; with just one oscillator you get a basic sine, that you can shape with Twist and Warp.
@@mqtthiqs Well that's it, you've got me on board too. Thanks, looks very interesting. I was about to buy another VCO (Brenso), which looks wonderful, but very 'traditional'. However, I've been hesitating due to price and size. So, this looks as though it would/will do the trick nicely. Thanks.
Hi, a question about saving in the quad sequence mode, i held ADD for more than 3 secs and it randomized rather than saved (doh). How do I save while in this mode?
I've been deliberating on this for several months, watching reviews and demos and reading the manual over and over again, just hit the button with my vendor, shipping from the US to Korea. My last order with them (1010 Bitbox mkii) took about 14-16 days. Not as fast as I'd have liked, but still fine, all said and done. Really looking forward to seeing what this can do. The review from Red Means Recording is the one that sold me on its functionality, but it was this patch from Joseph Cerimeli that sold me on its sound. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b3sQnZbgmTc.html I will definitely be exploring all the chordal stuff, since I am hopeless at keyboards, and that will save me, but I'll be diving into the weird stuff asap too. Nice work!
Sonofabitch, this module sounds amazing. I've had my eye on it for a few months now since I saw a review by Red Means Recording. Hitting the buy button this weekend. Matthias, I'd like to ask straight from the horse's mouth, since you developed both this and the Parasites firmware for Frames... How would this work with the Parasites Shift Register? Since the ENSO has a stereo output, is there a way to split the shift register output into ENSO, then output across both channels? In your Frames video, it seems you're outputting left and right into separate modules, there are two mono outputs from separate modules, rather than a stereo output from one . I'm wondering if I could split the ENSO half/half to do the same thing? For example, could I run Osc 1-8 through the left and 9-16 throught the right, or split them in odd/even configuration? Does it allow anything like that? Or would I be better off splitting the shift register into plaits/0-coast for bass, as in your video, and just run ENSO through Live and delay one channel to mimic the effect? I'm buying it regardless of the answer, but I'm curious, since the shift register video blew my mind, it gets fully fucking mental when you introduce the error in line 4, and the way it just glides back in via line 2... The unbelievable stuff I've seen your name attached to is just astounding. It's weird and trippy, but still has groove and feeling. What I've seen of both of those is exactly my kind of sound. I hope you have time to respond.
