Even a year after this video. Congratulations!! My wife and I are still married after plenty of renovation projects. So, I commend you in doing this in the middle of a new build! I truly hope and pray your marriage grow through all your projects!
Haha thanks so much! It takes a certain kind of couple to tackle big reno or build projects and come out on the other side, props to you and yours as well ☺️
Does that mean you don't want to try framing?? Life is all about trying new things, expending some effort, and using your time doing productive things!
Can you put anchor bolts after you erect the walls? Like drill concrete and put chemical anchors or other types of anchors? It seems like the whole process would be much easier: no need to measure and precisely drill holes in the bottom plates, probably you don't even need a skid-steer if you drill after walls are in place.
It’s when you look down the narrow edge of a board and determine which side of the board is arching upwards. You want to lay all of the boards with the crown (arch) facing up so that they don’t rock on the flat surface you lay them on. Hopefully that helps!
@@dtm7909 no..that would be difficult to get right.measuring over to the stud sticking out of the floor, can be learned quickly. If you tried what you are talking,it would take 2 people to balance that heavy 2x6 and a hammer man..And the 2x6 would need to be perfectly above a line,a line thats 3 inches down because the 2x6 be on top of the stud bolts.
You put the bend, the “crown” in the boards all the same direction so that you end up with a flatter wall for Sheetrock. Imagine how messed up your wall will look if the studs were alternating in which way they were bent.
