I love that they are so casual about one of the most intense jobs on the planet. This whole skit is so ironic and I feel like it flies over too many peoples heads.
This is funny as hell Neil Patrick Harris”nailed “it along with Kristen wigg funny, funny one of the best , so many, skits on snl, this one stands out!
It was funny AF. This is so me everytime I treat myself to a fullset after years of not having any. They also remind me of my auntie's nails and her hooker red polish, if they had been smaken on some gum I would have been completely blasted back to the 80s and smell Aqua Net flowing throughout our home. 🤣🤣🤣💜💙💚
Ok, so not only do I get unintentional ASMR from this, I also watch this when I have mild anxiety. The characters' gestures, mannerisms and general approach to life are deeply soothing.
They really are, you're right. Something very comforting about the _sotto voce,_ and confidential tones both of them have absolutely nailed here. And a complete change of energy from much of SNL's content. Refreshing.
This skit is really not that funny, but it is utterly fascinating for some reason. Their performances are so good that I simply can't stop watching and analyzing.
Ikr! I didnt laugh, but i loved it regardless, i was fascinated my their nails mostly and their accents, honestly, these ladies seem so cool to hang with ahah, reminds me of my friends
this is the kind of a video that is not funny but is SO amusing to watch. an achievement that can only be attained by the comedic genius of both kristen wiig and neil patrick harris
this skit is funny. It's humorous, and gave me several chuckles. Just because it's not roll on the floor laughing, doesn't mean it's not funny. There are diff levels, and diff types of funny. If something makes u laugh, it's funny, and I find it hard to believe that not a single thing in this sketch didn't give u a little chuckle.
To amuse is to cause laughter, to cause laughter mean it IS funny. I think this video was very funny. Maybe it just isn't suited to your sense of humor.
women are great multi taskers, for example, if my husband is in the middle of doing something, and i tell him 3 things he needs to do and walk away, 20 minutes later, he is like what ? what did you say , what did you want me to do?___tell a female co worker 5 things they need to do, and bam, they are done, while they are talking on the work phone landline, working on the computer at the same time, and ordering lunch with their cell phone.
Have been watching this for about 10-12 times now , Neil Patrick Harris -nails it pardon the pun Kristin wiig funny as hell they both are; love the chemistry between the two. Love when Neil says a man’s head rolled off his body and almost hit her shoe funny as hell.
Everyone saying the script here isn't good - it's INCREDIBLE to write a script like this on SNL that demonstrates how much you trust the actors. The script was brilliant in its subtlety and didn't overshadow them with overpowering punchlines or physical comedy. It's pure genius years later.
@@LegionIvory And it would have been so tempting to overplay it, I think. They played it straight though, and it was all the funnier for it. Confident, highly-skilled, at ease performances from both of them. A masterclass.
I love how supportive Freba is of Fran, how they share snacks, and how boss man knows a coral half sweater when he sees one. I definitely feel safe in the sky with this bunch as ground control.
I just realized while watching Bennie Hill that this is where our deep south country accents come from-parts of Britain. But they are doing soft country accents. "Ladies to work here -those nails have to go".
Watching these two demonstrate how not to break talon nails, how to navigate aircraft, how to solve personal crises and finally how to subtly flirt with a boss was enlightening and relaxing.
I agree: I think the sketch is *very* funny, but it's just a constant stream of amusing rather than big spikes of laughter. Maybe that's what they mean. 🤗
Mid 30's rural Oklahoman, here. Can confirm. A former workplace of mine staffed of exclusively women and gay men was this exact thing. Only with more sex, more laughter, and more liberal politics. It was the most magical place in the world.
The next time a colleague unloads their problems on me, I'm going to wear these ginormous fake nails and tell them to "hawld oawn"... I love this skit!
I can’t believe it took me SIX YEARS to see and appreciate this skit! This was hilarious 😆 ... plus Neil was giving me Patrick Swayze “To Wanfu” vibes ❤️
I seriously just listened to a radio transmission from last week between an American Airlines Airbus 380 and the San Antonio, Texas air traffic control tower. The pilot had reported that one of their engines had caught fire during their approach. SAT control was cool as a cucumber and managed the situation like is it was just another day at the office. Now I know why. ☺
This is I mean, the most entertaining nothing ever. I don't even know what they are saying but the mannerisms and voices are completely captivating and well matched... what is it about this that is so engaging?
this was an amazing skit, would love to see more of this kind tbh On a side note, I like how both of them didn't seem like they were reading the lines from a cue card, much unlike from what current SNL skits seem these days
