Ooo yeah. Sounds perfectly for a past night time with somebody else listening to it while walking for hours throught the empty streets. Just talking and feeling the night vibe like if nobody else would break the moment.

My wife and I won a dance contest at Misquamicut Beach one evening with this beat. It moves those bones 40 years later. What an Era. She was fabulous.

I acquired this record at a Salvation Army thrift store in Anaheim, CA in 1993. Released in April 1979. Joli came out of retirement in 1992 when disco music was making a comeback. This is the one song I can easily recognise from her. She used to be a brunette; she's now a blonde. She can thank Australian singer/actress Kylie Minogue for reviving her career, thanks to "Step Back In Time".

I'm going to be honest, I didn't know of Frances Joli until like around the time that Donna Sumner passed, I believe that was 2013, she was a teenager like 17 when she was singing this song back in 1979, she is Canadian so that is why I didn't know of her, she can sing, I listen to her songs right now today, Come to Me Miss Frances Joli❤ ❤❤

She was 15 when she recorded this. ♪ ♪ I bought the album in 1979 and played the whole thing almost every day for the first couple months I had it. ☼ Back in the day when Disco was booming, night clubs had waiting lines to get in, we danced til 3 or 4 am, women and men got dressed up to the 9's, even the ugly DJ picked up girls after the gig at the end of the night.... and I discovered designer fragrance, expensive blue jeans (that you could not wear into most discothecques) & pretty girls didn't have to pay for their own drinks. Danskin was the perfect twirling skirt when my dance partner would spin me around in my platform shoes and a feather clipped in my frizzy hair. I wouldn't trade the memories for the world.

I saw her performed in a club in New Jersey, it was called "Brother's Three" and she had a really, really long hair and she looked so beautiful, I had a crush on her back in those days, we were so young. I sometimes get very nostalgic of those wonderful nights that we thought they would last forever, I miss those wonderful moments of our lives!
