we are not in a sporting mood because prices to attend the events are way too expensive , it is not designed for middle class whatsoever.

My friends have saved for the last 5 years to attend the Olympic games in Paris. They are So excited (and I am So jealous). While the tickets for the games and hotel costs are MUCH higher than they budgeted, they chose to stay with their plans to attend. Simply put, they love France (even Paris 😉) and putting money into local pockets - shops, dining establishments, local tour guides - was worth it to them. So, those commenting should remember that not every visitor will be rich and, rich or not, they are choosing not to keep their money in their home countries. I only hope their presence will be met with welcoming smiles. Peace. 🇫🇷

I was in London for 2012. Once the tourists pour in and start spending money right and left the locals will warm to the event.

French people are not much interested in sport, Parisians even less, and in addition upset by the closed streets, squares and metro stations. I recommand tourists to come another month and watch the games on tv

Our mood does not matter since we are not involved at all in this show happening in our country, organized by a foreign company with foreign personnel, with international customers, most of them on TV and internet, medieval ideology, partly paid with our tax money. But I warn those who would like to come and attend : it is very dangerous because we have millions of hostile muslims in here.

@@Aspett0 Nah, Summer is a precious time. Demonstration season is October-November or May. Otherwise, it's Macron's false to ruin the Summer by calling the election at the wrong season of the year.

Glad I decided “not” to go to Paris for the Summer Olympics!😊 I was in Paris two-three years ago on business with the influx of migrants and boy, it was chaotic!😂
