Often times we use electronics to distract us to the gunk in our lives and our hearts that are uncomfortable to face. There are so many things we do to cope, but we were made to cope with prayer, allowing Jesus to take our yoke, and abiding in Him.
I've been avoiding this video because I know I'm not going to like the conclusion drawn. God help me do the right thing with the freedom that he gave me.
Amen. God give us wisdom and conviction to do the right, wise things. "The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace" 1 Peter 4:7-10 Thank you!
We take prayer for granted all too often, and many times when we do pray, it's formulaic. Listen, God already knows your problems, just like he knows my problems, so be honest with God and be honest with yourself in your prayers. Half the psalms are David going "life sucks right now, help" so please don't feel like talking to our king in a similar manner is bad. Pray for others as well. God cares about them just as he cares about you.
Couple of years ago, I had a dream and I was given the scripture 1 Peter 4:7.... THE END OF ALL THINGS IS NEAR, THEREFORE BE SERIOUS AND DISCIPLINE YOURSELVES FOR THE SAKE OF OUR PRAYERS. NRSV Thank you for sharing powerfully with us. 🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
Wow I’ve been saying this for years, glad a Christian leader can step up and finally deliver some truth. If you only spake the truth, than we would listen.
Sunday/April/3/2022 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 🙌 AMEN ! 🙌 I can't feel at home in this world anymore, because heaven is my home. This world can not offer me nothing, but pain and suffering, but with Jesus he gives me light, peace, hope, and life more abundantly. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Amen! Thank you for sharing! 😊❤️ “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” ~1 John 2:15-17 (ESV)

Thank you! Very creative and lovely how you edit this. I watched Francis's full sermon of this before and this edit is very welcoming for lost sheep to come home :)
Wow! Thank you so much, I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video and I truly pray that God will use it to soften hearts and call people into a relationship with Him. 😊🙏🏻
May our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth bless you Brother for the wonderful truth you are pouring in people's lives. God bless you and your ministry .
Francis Chan is on of my favourite preachers to listen to, i love his stuff it’s so encouraging and biblical, for the same reasons I love Paul Washer’s stuff as well.
Agreed! My favorite sermon from Francis Chan for years has been “The Holiness of God” - talk about a message that will have you flat on your face before the Lord with a mind reset on Him by the end of it!!!
@@rachelp8183 thank you for getting back to me.I tried to find him myself and had no luck. If you find out something could you let me know please Thank you Rachel God Bless
@@lamonthicks9555 Hey Lamont! I’m so sorry I missed your comment until now, it must have slipped through the cracks! I am pretty sure that Francis Chan doesn’t have an official church that he pastors now, he was the pastor at his mega church in Simi Valley for a while before he left to start home churches in San Francisco, but I think he’s since started doing ministry work overseas in Asia. He’s been stuck in the US for a bit due to Covid so I think he’s just been guest speaking at churches and conferences here for the time being, but I think his main plan is to eventually go back to Asia to be a missionary there. I hope that helps! 😊🙏🏻
I learn everything and we need to have fun with are life and not use phone that much we need to talk to god and we need to hang out outside me getting fresh air to find a new destine
I got myself to a totally wrong place. I was thinking that this is going to be some kind of talk about focusing on something instead of going with the crazy around you.
Well in a sense that is sort of what the video is about! The one thing that I hope people take away from the video is that experiencing a real relationship with Jesus Christ is so much better than trying to be like the world. Many of the things in our world (including social media) are made to be addictive, and if we're not careful we can waste away our years consuming content instead of being salt and light in a dark world. Thanks for stopping by, and if you don't know who Jesus is and want to know more about him then please let me know and I would love to share with you!
@@craigedwards2411 You’re very welcome! If you don’t mind me asking, what made you stop following Jesus? Im curious to know more and would love to hear your story. Thanks again for stopping by here! 😊
@@Peeps4Jesus The thing that drove me away from Jesus and from God was reading the Bible from cover to cover. All the killings on Gods command, all the blood sacrifice, obsession with who has sex with who and how, treating women like 3rd class creatures, God committing genocide etc etc None of it looks like a masterpiece from an all knowing, all powerful and all loving being. Instead it all sounds like a group of people trying to control another group of people = business as usual. However, I enjoy reading the Bible now casually as I always find something new there that I missed from last time. Hope this answers your question.
@@craigedwards2411 Thank you so much for your honest response Craig. I really appreciate it and to be honest I used to struggle with a lot of the things you point out (and still sometimes do for that matter). I used to be totally confused with the concept of blood sacrifice and with all the killing and brutality from the old testament too, and it used to bother me that an all-powerful God would allow evil in this world. I think the best explanation for it all is that God isn't responsible for bringing sin/evil into the world; we as humans are. When Adam and Eve ate the apple in Genesis, they ushered sin and death into our world, which was never meant to be a place where either of those two things existed. Furthermore, it prevented humans from being able to have a relationship with God, completely ruining one of the main reasons God created us in the first place (i.e. to have a relationship with him). In the Old Testament, there was no easy way for humans to purge themselves of sin and thereby reestablish a connection and relationship with God. One of the ways that this was accomplished during that time though was through animal sacrifice, where an innocent creature had to take on someone's sins so they could become sinless and righteous in the eyes of God. It sounds totally messed up (and even as I type it I'm like "wait, that doesn't sound like a loving God at all!"), but I think that's the point. It IS messed up. Sin was never supposed to be here and innocent creatures were never supposed to die, and although I'm sure God hated seeing innocent blood shed, I think it shows how much he loves us. This is one of the main reasons why what Jesus did in dying on the cross for humanity was so amazing, and why he is referred to as the "lamb of God." He was born of a virgin (so he wasn't born of Adam's seed, which carried sin) and was God's only son. And just like the innocent lambs in the Old Testament, God Himself sent this only son of his to die as a sacrifice for our sins, spilling his blood so we could be made righteous and have a connection and relationship with God again. Sorry for the essay haha dang I went a little crazy there! But I hope that makes some sense. And without getting too into all the other stuff you brought up (we would be here all day for that, or night, or whenever you read this haha) I just want to say that it's okay to have questions when it comes to Christianity and the Bible. I think there have been times in recent history where Christianity became overly dogmatic, and although there are definitely unbiblical teachings out there, it's important to know that it's okay (and actually good) to have questions when it comes to faith, our existence, purpose, and so on. Thanks again Craig and if you ever have questions about this stuff I'd be more than happy to try and answer them as best as I can!
Thank you so much for the feedback, I’m sorry to hear that the audio isn’t working properly for you! If it helps, the full sermon without background music can be found in the description of this video. God bless! 😊❤️
I turned him off several years ago when, in a Q&A session, he was asked a question about same sex marriage. Would he perform one in his church? The following several minutes of word salad were worthy of a Joe Biden press conference. Rambling and inconclusive. I ask the reader….has he ever stated plainly that homosexuality is just like adultery…just like fornication… a sin.? Thanks in advance.
I'd also add that busyness doesn't equal righteousness. Be consistent with whatever you do, but dont over work yourself or your staff or your family. That's not loving. Life is a marathon not a sprint.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” ~2 Peter 3:9 (NIV) 🙏🏻❤️
The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes! And let me tell you why Find more free resources at www.graceambassadors.com
