Francis ''The Predator'' Ngannou, the most powerful fighter of our time, has become a true student of the game. The sheer brutality of his knockouts tend to take away from his actual mma skills, and his most recent finish of Stipe Miocic is no exception.
Together, let's take a look at what happened in this fight.
Once again, sorry for the long delay between the fight and the video. You guys deserve better from myself.

@@teish8393 How does that matter in any way? Stipe beat an inexperienced Ngannou who was the far lesser fighter than he is now, and Ngannou proved it by absolutely murdering Miocic in the rematch. And by Ngannou defending the takedowns it proved there’s nothing Miocic can do to beat him in a trilogy. If a third fight happened Miocic would just get knocked the fuck out again like he already did.

@@andertap_silvaroid Before the fight, the whole narrative going into this fight was Stipe was going to win and treat ngannou same way he did the last fight. Narratives change, fighters evolve. 3:39 I know this angle doesn't help. But pay attention to Stipe's face. As he stares at nganou. He realises that there's nothing. He tried to get a take down and he almost completely got taken down. With the eyes he uses to stare at Francis..and how Francis looks back at him. I think they both went into a short realm..where stipe tells him "I'm all out brother. I can't do anything." And I feel like Francis responds with "I know."

The first fight is to Ngannou what Andy Ruiz was to Anthony Joshua. Those fights unlocked new levels of already formidable fighters.
@LoFi_Sinner95
@LoFi_Sinner95 3 года назад
Honestly not really comparable if you think about it. Anthony had no business losing the first fight but looked he to took the rematch more seriously rather than being out skilled like Francis was in his first title fight. Also Ruiz came in looking like melted ice cream for the rematch. That fight was over at the weigh in. He had put on about 30lbs of fat and was sucking wind by the third. Stipe was in tip top shape but just ran into a focused monster.
@cyrilebeh1363
@cyrilebeh1363 3 года назад
I agree with your line of thought to a certain degree. The similarity I’m referring to is the way those two losses changed both fighters’ fighting styles. Joshua has become far more patient since he lost to Ruiz cos he’s realized he can’t just “run through” every opponent, Ngannou has also learned the same lesson after the first fight against Stipe. Remember he was a heavy favorite coming into the first Stipe fight?

Don't think we can write Stipe off. If it was me, I'd be out of there with my records relatively unmauled but then again, I'm not the former UFC heavyweight champion. I think if anyone is going to dethrone Ngannou, it'll be Stipe. If Stipe can't do it, I don't think we're going to see another heavyweight champ for a LONG time. Ngannou could reign for years.

Good question : Many people seem to believe that Jon Jones is ''scared'', but that is just the wrong word for it. The right formulation in my opinion would be : Jon Jones feels more threatened by Francis Ngannou than any other human being on earth, as he should. Jon has faced many tough challengers throughout the years, but when you look at all of them, there is no possible comparison with Ngannou. I still believe he has a small chance of winning, but I certainly wouldn't bet money on it.
@zGJungle
@zGJungle 3 года назад
I don't think Jon can do any thing that can hurt Francis, Jon has little power in his hands, the chasse bas/oblique kick would be super risky due to Franics' long hooks, as we just seen taking him down is not so easy, I think it would be a bad night for Jones.
