Last year I saw an interview with Steve Gelb and Juan Soto as they were playing at Citi field. In one of his statements, Soto specifically mentioned that he loved playing in New York and especially at Citi field. This statement was made solely be Soto without any coaxing from Gelb what soever. I wish someone could find that interview....Padres at Mets!

I played in my younger years and everyone respects the catcher more than any position. When you have a kind light hearted catcher who can bomb the baseball and lead pitchers to victories, players respect that more than anything. Trust me.
