Der größte Tenor bis heute,es gibt niemand der so eine schöne Stimme hat Wunderbares unverwechselbares Timbre,phantastische Höhen.So einen grossen Tenor werden wir nie wieder haben,leider.Die Schulen sind schlecht.Das Mittelmaß wird zur Norm erklärt.Hört euch die Brilianzen von Corelli an,das ist Gesang der höchsten Form. Increíble, Franco corelli hace oír tan fácil lo imposible. Otros pujan y se oye. Franco corelli, Tenor spinto heroico.el tenor más grandioso de todos los tiempos. Portento de facultades y un manejo increíble de su emisión vocal. Franco, fue objeto de estudio científico por sus facultades.

Ahhhh,... 1968,... when smoking cigarettes was a sophisticated and fashionable societal norm. Just LISTEN, with reverence, to the frequent and beautiful coughing amongst the adoring audience. BRAVO, audience!!! I so appreciate your worthy contributions to this otherwise lacking musical composition by (probably a non-smoker) Giuseppe Verdi~ !!!!!!

The owner of this channel deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for posting such amazing, live Franco Corelli content. The collection that has been curated offers listeners such a holistic range of the phases of Corelli's voice throughout his career, and an amazing demonstration of why he will always be the greatest tenor to ever grace the stage. Performances like this one serve as a much needed reference for aspiring young tenors like myself to strive towards

A Napoli era il debutto nell 'opera se non erro. Ma proprio per questo credo che il suono fosse più controllato in particolare sul passaggio. Negli anni americani aprendo più la gola, comincio a raccogliere meno fa e fa diesis (talvolta), secondo me a detrimento della linea è del fraseggio. Peccato che pare non ci sia la Forza del 1967 credo a Fiorenza con Ligabue e Cappuccilli poche settimane prima della storica Tosca di Parma

Was Don Alvaro like Corelli or like Di Stefano?. With all my fascination with Franco, my impression is he “hammers” this aria, especially the delicate second part. But I guess it’s hard to listen to anyone sing this after Di Stefano.

I think Corelli was far more suited to Alvaro than Di Stefano. It was roles like Alvaro, Calaf, Chenier and finally Otello that destroyed Di Stefano's beautiful voice.

@@xxsaruman82xx87 Yes I saw GDS while he was still very good, in Tosca in 1959 with Tebaldi, he had a great lyric tenor voice, but those roles you mentioned where better suited For a more spinto or dramatic tenor. Bjoerling was smart and avoided those three roles live, the ones you mentioned and he died at age 49 with voice still in prime shape, as it should be at that age.
