After owning Frank for 22 years, it’s time to say goodbye.
This doesn’t come easy for me. Frank and I have spent A LOT of time and miles together. And so many harvest memories.
Frank will remain on the Montana farm which we’re headed to help with harvest. I’m awfully glad it’s going to enjoy its somewhat easier days with a good family!

Safe travels. I grew up in Avoca Iowa about an hour from where you all live. Beautiful country. I help my relatives farm freeing up and the. Joined the military. Now retired and living in North Carolina.

Love the old school fuel gauge, I can't remember how many old trucks I have had to stick the tanks to see how much fuel that I had. Wow,how many road side repairs I have done over the years. Nice work ya'll.

I first visited Wall Drug about 1952 with my parents going to Minnesota from the West Coast. In those days the highways were mostly 2 lanes and lots of billboards along the roads. Burma shave signs on the fence posts, too. Wall Drug billboards started a couple hundred miles away creating a lot of expectations for a kid. I got a picture of me on a stuffed bucking horse there. Last visit about 20 years ago. Thanks for the memories. Always a thumbs up!

Thanks for another great video Tracey and Jim. It was super interesting and enjoyable to watch. Sorry you had a suspension problem with the camper but looks like Jim has it fixed in good order. Hi Tracy, great to see you guys again! How far north has the harvest made it to? Here in upstate New York, wheat was about 2 weeks early this year. It is mostly done here now. It was cool to see you at a runnings store, we have one about 12 miles from my house. I also noticed when Jim was working on your camper, he has the same kind of creeper that I have!!😃 Safe travels to you two!!

I can tell you it's hard to say goodbye . I myself in January of 23 retired after 46 years of trucking. Still have my old work horse. I just can't seem to let it go. Enjoy your days of retirement. By the way, I am still hay farming. So, I'm not totally retired. I do miss the road and people I have met over the years. Enjoy your channel 😊.

I wonder if you knew the Kretchmar family from the Alva, Ok area. They were our neighbors in Bartlesville, OK where he worked as a welder for Phillips. He always took time off for the wheat harvest on his family’s farm.

@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking Thanks. My dad was a mechanic with a shop in the Oklahoma City area. He talked a lot about one of his customers who has a custom cutting business. The guy would bring his vehicles in every spring for tuneups to get ready for summer. Also, my husband grew up in Blackwell, OK so I have heard lots of stories about harvest but never really learned much until finding your videos. Thanks for including us.

It has a fuel gauge but for some reason Jim doesn’t trust it. I think it works just fine but I’m sure Jim wants to be sure we get to a filling station when we need to.

The Custom Cutters I worked for in the mid 2000's had had a trailer house like that and had the studs shear off of one wheel. I had to fix it in 100deg heat in Perryton Texas.. so I feel for ya Jim. Good to see you two again. Thanks from New Zealand.

My daughter and I watched your video today, it is great to watch! It must feel sad to say goodbye to the truck but on the other hand it is great it goes to this lovely farm in Montana. So maybe it is not goodbye to Frank but can you see him every year! My car is from 2008 and my daughter and I call him Sharky because it is grey. It is fun to have names for cars and trucks. In the very past I bought a 19 year old car, I loved it so much and I sold it after four years, that was a big mistake.... Looking forwatrd to more of your videos!

At least it's green. Saw too much brown on your trips in past years. But here in the Mid Atlantic region it' s the driest summer in years. It's a region that for generations has served as a fail safe if in the event the Plains and the Central US had drought. Not much of a help this year. Too dry....too hot.

Great to see you kids road tripping to Highwood again! I enjoy following along with your routine through Valentine, Murdo, and Belle Fourche. Hoping to see some familiar sights running up MT 59 in Day 2. As the chief amateur mechanic for our paltry rolling stock, I wonder about 2 things: Was Jim sticking Frank's passenger side fuel tank for signs of water in the fuel or because the gauge on that tank isn't operating? Second, did that shackle on the 5th wheel break or did one of the bolts shear? Either way, that was a nice piece of art work balancing the two axles and the trailer frame with jacks installing the new shackle. That's a tough job under any circumstances. Well done, Sir. Looking forward to seeing harvest operations under way once again.

The fuel gauge works but I think Jim uses the stick to make sure of the amount left in the tank. Mostly so we’re not caught in a bad situation on the road. The part of the RV was old and wore out. Jim had concern of the tires making a slow creep together and decided to take the time to put the new one on before we ran Into a bad problem. Thanks for reaching out to us!

When you were in the rest area in wasta my grandpa had a big ranch just across the river 3 miles by 7 miles and my other grandparents were the ford dealer in wasta my dad got screwed out of the ranch his sister worked for a lawyer so we had a place 10 miles north of rapid city

Is that handy dandy fuel guage included with Frank or are you keeping it as a keepsake? I have a piece of baling wire l use in one of the feed delivery trucks where l work because l don't trust the fuel guage when it gets below a 1/4 tank.

It was wore out. Jim had been watching the distance between the two tires get less and less and decided it was time to put the new one on. He said it may have made it all the way to our destination but didn’t want to chance it.

It does have to kinda nice not having to haul your combine across country. Making 2 trips back and forth to transport everything. Why did you even take "Frank" ?? Surely the farms your going to have enough grain haulers ?? You guys are just the hired guns to run the equipment !!!

Jim’s less stressed with so many less tires on the road. And having to travel narrow highways with a wide load wasn’t the easiest thing to do either. The farm we’re headed to is buying Frank from us.
