He says the gov't should do a better job in terms of educating people. This video is almost nine years old. There have been very few public service ads reminding people to protect their identity in the past nine years. I plan to watch more of his videos.
When I entered for my data security class for the first day, the professor started the class by telling us he didn't care if we didn't learn anything in his class, but the 2 primordial things to know about data sec would be Confidentiality, integrity and availability. He also followed by saying the greatest thing to protect those 3 aspects of data would be education and training and it covers everything. Still resonates with me till this day.
The most important thing to learn about data security is, THERE IS NONE! it is all an illusion to take more of your money and data and your identity. The very software that you assume is there to protect y1ou from malware IS MALWARE ITSELF. If none of y1ou know this by1 now, you are doomed to be a victim.
To the few people who say, "He was a crook and still is a crook!", (as seen on other FWA vids). Realize you kept your mouth shut when you wanted to get the best information about how to prevent identity theft.

take it from me, my instagram account got hacked once because I thought my friend needed me to help them unlock their account. sent me a text message with a link that has the password recovery. after a few more exchanges of words, I could no longer log into my account. turns out my friend's account was also hacked by using the same method. Luckily I was quick enough and was able to recover my account within the same day. frank is right, if something looks and feels suspicious, that's because it probably is
