Such a terrible idea. Most musicians are realizing that making their albums free for download and open for donations is the most profitable way of doing this. Not Frank though, he's going to charge as much as he can and make his music a huge hassle to listen to. And he doesn't think people can still pirate this? You can still capture the audio, what a dumb idea.

as long as I can use a Y-cable to go from the headphone jack on my audio interface into a pair of inputs on my audio interface, I can record whatever he's streaming to my computer and turn it into a mp3. So, as long as multi-channel audio interfaces exist, piracy will never end. It's just like dudes using cassette tapes to record songs from the radio in the 80s and 90s

Common opinion is that a vast choice is great - which is the biggest mistake in the world. Limit - is the only way to increase value, this applies to everything (don't buy prepared food - cook at home, don't buy tablature books - listen to the records and do it yourself - you will see how much you will grow in a short time).

My opinion is that what kills music nowadays is not really piracy, but the lack of heritage. To me, the solution is by making music (at least in my country) not a hobby, but rather a job, that you have to pay some taxes if you produce an album etc. This way sales would be important and you'd not be forced to support a band by going and watching it live (which is basically the only way a band can TRY to be known nowadays).

That's not a terrible idea, the thing is you can't stop piracy but you can build a loyal fanbase where the fans can come and actually support or fund the artist, the real challenge for musicians now is not just to create great content but also to create an emotional bond with their fans so at least they will support the artist. The problem for this whole situation that musicians are in is because everybody is busy making and playing music and as long as they are doing well, they will not talk about ethics and morals. Educating your audience is absolutely crucial but unfortunately not many professional musicians talk about it. Another problem is that everybody is looking to have a massive audiences, millions of views or a worldwide audience, this is a greed that artists are trapped in and streaming platforms like spotify exploit artists because of this. To safe guard the value of music and real musicians , first the musicians need to come on the same page and together they can talk to their government to bring reforms in their respect regions, where streaming services are only allowed to play demos of the songs and if the listeners likes the demo then they can buy the song or direct it to the artists website. I also released a video a few years back where i am interviewing my self and talking about how i started music , how did i got into piracy and why did i get out. I am probably the only professional musician in my country who is advocating to stop piracy. The video has english subtitles. It's named Khud Se Pooch (Ask yourself) . that right Frank, I can imagine paying top dollar for Frank's music, for trash like pop booty shaking garbage, let the kids get that crap free. I think the new wave of audio will be high end wav samples. I want a stack of discs, it's more secure than rewritable digital files.
