The pie was not bad just a bit too expensive. I should have read the pack, "Garlo" Is former NRL player Sean Garlic, these pies are not Greek like I thought, but are Australian.
Sean Garlick ex NRL footy player started Gar-lows pies in the early 2000’s. I have always found them to be good quality similar to Mrs Macs pies. Good review Frank
I dont tend to eat pies but that was a good looking pie. The only pies I usually go for are from the bakery - they're always good eating. Thanks for the review Frank
49 was a good score, guess because less fat in them? I have hamburger meat with cheese on it so no crust, and a free form meal. Still 87F hot humid weather here but cooler on Sunday finally. Lots of black walnuts in my front yard, I'm getting exercise every day getting them off the ground before it's time to mow again.
@@frankmckay8766 very hot humid weather is my least favorite. I can put on more layers of clothes in the winter but in summer can't work at much as sweat won't evaporate. Your winter is mild and pretty doable if you have good wool clothes but I reckon there they don't like the winter. I always was walking to school in the snow growing up so accustomed to fierce weather.
For meat pies they looked okay Frank. Guess if I found them on sale I’d buy them but I usually get the 6 frozen ones from Aldi. They do me. I found some of the other things you’ve been taste testing yesterday when I went to Aldi so I bought them to try. Cos it’s only me ill be eating them for a long while but that’s okay by me cos I won’t have to buy any for ages. TFS and you and Mrs. Mac enjoy your weekend.
@@frankmckay8766 I’d have to go searching in the freezer but I know I got hash browns and the hash brown onion rings ??? Not sure what they were and I think I got chicken tenders, those southern chicken things and I can’t b remember what else, enough to last me months lol.
I recently had a chance to compare the pack of four, Four'N Twenty pies with the pack of four Coles brand pies. I had bought the Four'N Twenty from Coles and found them to be very good. My intention was to stick with them, rather than trying the Coles pies. The price difference made me buy the Coles pies the next time though. Currently $5.50 and $9.00. The pastry on the Coles pie was just as good. The meat gravy was not as thick and chunky as the Four'N Twenty, but was just as tasty.
