Dang, this song reminds me of back home.... the central coast of CA. I miss the midnight drives along the coast, parking at the beach, and hanging out watching the waves crash and seeing the stars or moon. I am in New England now, daydreaming of returning to that beautiful place.

During that time last year, a good friend/mentor/parental figure of mine passed away, I was studying for a very difficult exam that dictated my professional career, and my then-partner broke up with me - she didn't know how to handle my anxiety, I was withdrawn, she had never seen me like that, so I don't blame her. Lots of things were going on - I really needed that trip. When I went to CA, I just spent time for myself and visited the spots that were special to me. I ate at a couple of restaurants that I used to go to all the time; I caught up with a couple of friends that I'd not seen since I left CA. So that was a sweet part. It's wild how just a place can recharge you a bit.
