I’m guessing this is a reading of the recorded track, or is it played by ear? If it’s by ear, that’s very impressive as there’s so many nuances in the walk. I used to read when I played in the high school jazz band, but I originally learned to play by ear as I was inspired by the popular music from the era in which I grew up. I wasn’t around when most bass players walked to provide the bottom end and have always been envious of those who knew how to do it. I understand it, but just am not very good at it. I greatly admire players like Leland Sklar who can shift seamlessly between styles. They’re solid musicians who have a great foundation, they are well versed in music, not just genre players

Great walking line, thanks! I have noticed something strange on bar 18. There is a chord change in this bar from Am7 to Am9 but in the PDF, the transition is from E to A. The whole progression from 7 to 18 is: Am7-Dm7-G7-CM7-FM7-Bm7b5-E7b9-Am7-A7b9-Dm7-G9-G7b9-CM9-Am7-Am&, and then Dm7 and so on.

bass tab. 3rd line. You have 224 (EEG#) all on the D. Its 22 on the D (EE) but the 4(B) should be on the G string. incredible work as always

Only band i ever played is Iron Maiden (Steve Harris). Recently started experimenting with some mellower stuff, but i really have to admire someone who goes from Frank Sinatra to Judas Priest. I've recently put out some videos, but having over 1,000 videos as yourself is pretty impressive, i have to say. I've always picked up songs and played by ear. Curious to know how you play. WOW, mate that's just outstanding! Sinatra worked with some great orchestras and band leaders including Count Basie, Nelson Riddle and Tommy Dorsey. Not sure who played on this track, but you nailed it!!

I know I'm playing along to the notes and not to the tab. Bar 71 was I'm sure an error on my part and 72 I felt like sliding down from the C notes thus the reason to move to the 8th fret on the E string. Thanks for watching.

Sounds correct - thank you! Haven't found anyone who has all the right chords for each verse ending - a lot can be inferred from the bass line, though. The Real Book doesn't "really" cover this version
