I'm not sure why I thought to look up this song today, but it's just what I needed today.

I’m 70 and still sing this. Total encouragement

My grandpa used to sing me this when I didn't think I could do something. Now I listen to it when I feel that way and I know he's always believing in me

I used to sing this to my kids to encourage them when they were down. Found myself today thousands of miles away from my adult children needing that same encouragement and that song popped into my head!! High Hope!! We all need positive thoughts!!

We used to dance to this at Beatty Moore's dance classes in Canton, Cardiff, Wales in the 1960s :O)

My aunt and I sang this song when we moved a rubber tree plant out of my great-grandmother's house a few years ago. The introduction to our version looked a lot like what happened here, I said "Wasn't there a song about an ant with a rubber tree plant?" She said "Yes, I think it was written over 50 years ago by Frank Sinatra, let me try to remember it" When my mom and dad came home from the supermarket later that day we finished moving the plant and we all sang this song. my grandma used to sing me this when I'd be sad or cry. I would always lay on her in her old, worn-out recliner and she'd rock me back and forth singing this song. she did it up until I was almost 9. Now my sister is pregnant and grandma's passed because of breast cancer, a collapsed lung and bone cancer, I want to be everything she was to us, the woman you could always count on to have a shoulder you could cry on.

I randomly got this stuck in my head, haven't heard it in 30 years.

The first time I acknowledge this song was when Harry Males sang it for the Philadelphia Phillies. Now it is my dad and my favorite song when the Eagles play or just feeling down and out. It's our fight song. ❤💚❤

My mom taught me this song and I sang it as a child. Lovely song and helps chase the gloomy days away. I discovered though that all the hope in the world for myself was not enough and I could not bring myself out of my circumstances with a song. I did learn that my Hope in God, in Jesus Christ DID HELP ME! and though my circumstances may be the same, God showed me a better way to live and love and learn to be truly happy, truly hopeful! Hope this helps others too!

This is a great timeless song for kids and grownups alike. You just have to listen to the words and liken it to whats going on in your own life. Once you get past the ram trying to punch a hole in the dam, you'll be ok.

frank Sinatra was born with perfect pitch so getting in key before the orchestra joins in is not a problem.

Kinda presume when the boy sounds a bit off and they both immediately laugh about it that it was an actual mistake. Sinatra doing something similar in the next bit to make the boy laugh tells quite a lot about the man. Heard so many rumours of arrogance and mob associations and other such dodgy stuff, but then something like this makes you ignore all the bollocky press and smile. What a wonderful natural entertainer he was. Great song!

I recognise that song but haven't heard it in years. I don't normally like Frank Sinatra, I normally find his songs quite depressing but this song is really sweet and upbeat, uplifting.
