Are you kidding me?! Seriously, are you kidding me? Everyone else take a damn seat and watch how it's done. Simply the most dynamic performer in the history of popular music!!! And there are too many reasons why to list them here. But here's one. That's a 70 piece orchestra with Nelson Riddle behind him and all you do is watch him. If you want to be great in any endeavor you have to know that you're great. And damn - did he know it!!!!

@Rabbit Gaming: As an aside -- when I heard the song “Perhaps, perhaps,perhaps” in the movie “CRUELLA” I thought the singer sounded exactly like Doris Day. So I looked on RU-vid to see if Doris Day recorded that song and she did. -- but they didn’t use Doris Day’s version, they used somebody that sounds exactly like her. So my point is -- there’s got to be somebody out there that sounds like Sinatra. -- maybe -- somewhere. It would be interesting if there was.

This Arrangement by Nelson Riddle is got to be the greatest, at 2:42 the lead trumpet, Conrad Gozzo takes it to the stratosphere, I write big band charts, and did a great tour with the HRT Jazz orchestra of Croatia, their lead trumpet was right up there with this guy. Frank Sinatra is one of those things only a few lucky people got to witness first hand. The man dripped with swagger, was an absolute gentleman. He also suffered from major depressive disorder, and possibly bipolar disorder despite that he hung around with anyone no one was above him. He stood up for minorities sometimes getting arrested, and he happened to be extremely vocal about treating EVERYONE with respect and dignity. He hung out with some of the greatest talents of the time, hung out with everything from steel workers to politicians and did it all with ease. He may have had his demons and downfalls but my god what a voice not to mention his phenomenal stage presence. He also had an air of approachability that celebrities rarely have. I think anyone was welcome to have a drink with him. He was gifted with this incredible talent and didn't let it get to his head and he carried out anything he did with class and style, every man wants to be 'old blue eyes' but there was only one and there will only be one.
@mpc77769

What an arrangement. Sooo many subtleties from the violins to the harp, the organ and piano... and that's not mentioning all the brass that's simply just kickin' ass. If it's what you live to do, it becomes like second nature. You might get nervous about being up to it right before a gig, but for a guy like Sinatra the stage was his home. His instincts would have kicked into gear the moment he got up there. Most of us don't ever learn that ability, as it only comes from years of experience.

I was born in 2000, these guys were gone long before me. Yet I love this music as a black man from France. I dont know how I discovered this music, but Im glad I did. Its getting me through a tough time. I hate the music my peers listen to, music in today is vulgar, loud and savage with hypersexualised hyperviolent messaging. I cant help but think our society as youth is a reflection of the music we consume in my generation. I dont know why I wrote this but a part of me wishes music like this would come back and bring the good times again.

Folks can say what they want about Frank, but when I left my cd player in a hotel room some years ago, it contained my Frank Sinatra greatest hits cd. I got the player back, but my Frank Sinatra cd was gone. I am a black guy who grew up in DC in the 60s and 70s with Motown, Stax, R&B, etc., but the Chairman of the Board always had a place in my space when it came to his music. One of the best to ever do it.
