It warms my heart to know that pancakes were a legendary staple in the OG Zappa house...when I was growing up in the late 70's, early 80's (I'm the same age as Ahmet), I would only get pancakes on Saturday mornings-while watching those vintage Saturday morning cartoons...and later in life, in my late teens when I was exploring the rich and endless musical legacy that is Zappa (still more to discover now)...I always equated his crazy, colorful music with Saturday morning cartoons-an adult version of course-and by association those light and fluffy white but sometimes golden brown, pancakes!!! My Love and eternal thanks to Frank and family!!!

it was the first album of Zappa i bought because of yellow snow who played on radio at that time, the song Apostrophe was one of my favorite , also the fuzzy bass of Jack ....yeah....also finally played this song with my band in 1978....

I heard the album on the radio the night I arrived home after seeing Frank for the first time in March 1974 in Portland Oregon. I just ordered it again and can't wait for all the extras !

Such a great song that I arranged it for classical guitar. I don't know if it's George Duke's gospel influence, but it's one of those 'non-Zappa' Zappa tracks.

Thanks Ahmet and Joe for working on the next project for our ears. But don't forget the projects for our eyes too, like releasing concerts that came out on dvd in full 4k glory and of course restoring new unreleased footage you found in the vault for us to see how Zappa and his many bands were awesome live.

Frank Zappa Baby Yeah... #1 musician is all time. 50 years...I was about 5 years old..lol. Your Dad was the best in music...comedy, musicianship, the whole dang package!! My personal favorite is Sheik Yerbouti... They all Rock!!! Lol. Pancakes...

Dweezil did an enormous job of studying and practicing the work of F. Zappa and took it to many countries making it heard by a new generation. He is undoubtedly the one who has done the most and has done it very well, but the rest of the family has entitled to his share of the royalties, so Ahmet can do this and try to earn some extra money too.
