Huh? Kids these days are as political as ever -- for example tons of popular songs about BLM and civil rights etc. Certainly songs like this about the religious right and their attack on abortion and other rights fit right in to today. Maybe you need to define what you mean by "political"?
How did frank make so much money? Very successful, huge expensive house etc. Yet whilst critically lauded with a huge and very loyal fan base he didn't sell vast quantities of albums and whilst he sold out big venues over many years one would think that the huge number of very talented musicians etc used in his shows would severely eat into any profits. I presume like a lot of artists Frank jut have paid these hugely talented artists fuck all. Can anyone enlighten me.
No, for instance this band was paid triple scale, incl. to rehearse for, what was it, 7 mos. these horn players weren't all that young and this was just a top gig. FZ was able to finance LSO's recording of the orch things more or less behind Valley Girl, which became a radio hit in LA while he was touring Europe (after Moon took a print around to radio station). He sold records. Sheik Yerbouti sold over a million back in the day. toured constantly and there's some profit in how he did that. He was a very good businessman.
