This site is intended for educational and noncommercial purposes, to provide a place for musicians and Zappa tribute bands to submit their music for reviews, and allows anyone from anywhere to collaborate on musical projects.
Contents that are used on this site are believed to be artists' renditions of said songs and not original compositions, except where noted. All renditions are entirely a matter of the creator's interpretation. As a result, while some renditions remain faithful to the original songs, others take a whole new turn and end up in completely different places - some are pretty good, some are really awful. For that very reason, all of the visitors to this site are strongly encouraged to listen to the original songs first.
We encourage people to learn, play and listen to Zappa's music, we want Frank Zappa and his music to be alive - we are convinced that music only dies when people leave it behind and nobody wants to play it anymore.
Tom Fowler sadly died at 73 yesterday. What an underappreciated player he was. He never stood out, but was always the melodic glue. When you stop to focus on his playing, it's like a "wow!" moment. He is just so locked in and creative. Sad to see him go prematurely. This is one of his best performances from his Zappa era.
It's crazy that this song I could not find anywhere,I sort of New the lyrics after hearing a friend play it regularly, however we lost contact didn't know what it was called until the internet come along, it was every bit good as I remember, the album version is better imo tho, both great however
is there like a howl video of this, clearly it was professionally done and Ruth is sat there doing nothing so must be a hoe concert behind it somewhere lol.
I appreciate the enlargement...lol...but I think the music works better with smaller groups of talented musicians. It's too wide in this recording. But I love the recording..thanks for sharing!
