I see a clod Buster in the title I thumbs up before even watching the video. So happy to see this thing back in action on the channel. Hands down my favorite build P.s. I would recommend from CPE their torsion style sway bar could easily be adapted to your chassis you run one on the front and rear and it will keep that clod flat. Would love to see you get the most out of this chassis cuz it's such a nice kit
I love the Reefs servos. I had the V1 version of the Raw500 in my TRX4 and then now it has their Triple 7. I love the direct power versions. Regarding the BEC need for the Raw500 the Hobbywing 1080 internal BEC runs one of them really well even bound up in a rocky crag, but not sure about two. The Hobbywing 880 dual internal BEC is 4Amp which should be fine. The Raw500 is really efficient in terms of Amps (Savox servos are amp hogs)
Love the raw 500!! My ryft recently fell in a river. The raw 500 still worked even tho it was full of water. I also have one in my 10 pound redcat wendigo and it takes an absolute thrashing!
I always loved the Clod, back in the day, but ended up with a King Cab (which I also loved! 👍🏻). Yours is absolutely awesome!! You must have spent a fortune on it, as I don't ever remember seeing one handle as well as that!! I've seen Reefs being used in crawlers before, but never in something like this, but they're way out of my price range. They do look like you get what you pay for though. Great video. Thanks. 👍🏻
Yeah they are a great Servo I have the raw 500 in my LMT haven’t done no programming have to get the programmer appreciate you sharing. Sure is a beautiful rig
Gav I bought a Super Clodbuster after watching your Super Clodbuster video and now I need to purchase those servos, I've all ready burnt-out a Banggood/Amazon 25Kg servo after going four wheel steer on the axles. as Phillip J Fry would say "Shut up and take my money" 😁
Been watching these vids on your Clodbuster and mine is about to go full custom 😈 I already have moved to on-axle steering, and 4 link suspension, but I now have the Razor 2.1 chassis like yourself coming from Ryan at U.K. Monsters, and after watching this my 15kg servos are being upgraded as well 😁 I just love my Clodbuster……….even more fun to drive than my Top Force Evo and my Monster Beetle
@RCKicks that is awesome, my first RC was one of the orriginal Clodbusters over 30 years ago! I still have it and you have inspired me to get it out again. .... Now to find out if you have any more videos on the upgrades.
well like glen you've made me want to get a clod now geeez thanks Gavin..blah blah lets just fit the dam things ha ha ha !!!! surprised the roll bar lights are still on after all that!😄 😁 😆
I do not really see a point in having a 'programmable' servo. A programmable servo would in my opinion only make sense if it allows for fixed endpoints to prevent the transmitter to damage it. It would make more sense to have a programmable receiver that can handle mixing, end point adjustment, brake setting, etc as that would clear the transmitter from this... and it would even make more sense if the ESC would be integrated like the FlySKy + Hobbywing combo that is used in the RGT V3.
This is no TT02B kit and these servos are in keeping with this rig price lol. Now that I've said that I've started to cry a little Mark. Clods get expensive real fast.
Wow I know the puritans will not like this ClodBuster. I own two 1987 Chevrolet badge Clods. But I love this video was super fun I got a kick out of watching it train ride home was a little bit more fun. Thanks
Gavin... You need stabilizer bars.... That will help with the corner wheeling some... Easy to make... Or easier to source some from a third party store..
Epic video Gavin. I would like to see you get the suspension dialed in or get longer suspension before changing the chassis. What about putting some more powerful motors in for when you jump? A bit more accelerating in the air to keep the nose up?
What shock length did you use in the video...90? I want to run similar in my razor 🙈 I really like how the perform (optically) in that chassis... They perform not good, but I really like the look in the jumps and while cornering :D
For the price you cant beat those servos . Ive used a number of them in various RCs , they are pretty impressive .If your on a budget or just curious to see their performance pick one up and im sure you wont be disappointed . Perhaps the best budget friendly servo you can source .
Amazing how much difference a good servo makes on a monster truck. The cheap servos are ok, but they are just not the same levels as a good brushless servo like these.
Where can I purchase these servers from and how much are they again please comment back Thank you very much I have what you call a cladzilla from a clodbuster I want to put them on it thank you
@@RCKickschannel Don't Sport and Torque tuned have advanced timing, which doesn't work well with one motor running backwards? I was going to put Torque Tuned in my Clod but heard you shouldn't.
@@Mark_5150 That's true. Torque and sport tuned motors are timed, so they won't have full rpm in reverse. I'd recommend you to buy some hpi firebolt 15t motors, they have zero timing.
