If you don't like Disney, fine. If you don't like stop-motion, fine. If you don't like Burton......o...kay I guess, (unless you're not into dark, gritty, or 'wacky'). But if you love/like horror, even 'reserved horror' like the classics, you've GOT to see this film. Yes it's a Disney film so of course it's light-hearted and comedic a little but it's FULL of classic horror/monster references. It's a freakin' love letter to all of horror/terror films from the early-mid 20th century. And frankly, that would perhaps be THE main reason I enjoy this film. ...the 2nd is because, excluding Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, I like all Tim Burton films I've seen, some more than others. Also, this is at least the 2nd time Martin Landau has starred in a Tim Burton film as a representation of a horror icon, (the first time was Bela Lugosi in "Ed Wood"), in this case he's representing Vincent Price.
