So West Ham fans: -Attacked German radio commentators -Mocked German fans with the "you're not singing anymore" chant, even though Frankfurt's supporters were louder all game -Removed someone for speaking German -All while showing a condescending attitude towards the away team As Jose Mourinho would say: This is football heritage. The worst part is they don't even realise their attitude towards the (foreign) away team and their supporters is respectless, condescending and quite frankly pathetic, during a match in which their own support towards their home team was lacking behind significantly compared to Frankfurt's fans. Sadly, this kind of behaviour, which can be partly traced to the eventification of football, seems to be embedded into English football culture nowadays. Truly a shame for the historical home of football.

Hey guys, I love English football (heart beats for Frankfurt). I'm always happy when you send something from different stadiums (with your dad), but 2 things don't work for me at all. When fans get tickets and have to leave the stadium because they are in the wrong block and secondly when radio reporters are attacked. Westham fans have attacked reporters who always broadcast our games. Everyone in Germany had to listen to that shit. That's unacceptable!

I don’t see the problem. If there are spare tickets and a Frankfurt fan buys one, then they are allowed to be there. There’s no actual law to stop them from sitting there if they’ve paid. If there causing trouble once there, that’s something else but there was no suggestion of that. It just looked like another little Englander getting the hump about someone not speaking English near them because West Ham were down 1-2.

They also beat the German live radio commentators from behind. Really bad hosts, could already be observed at the EM.

I can't understand, why everything besides the away end in England is home end. In Germany it's not unusual, that Fans outside of the away end are supporters of the away team, cause there are neutral areas in the stadiums. Can't understand why this isn't working in other European countries too.

I was at the game and thought the Frankfurt fans were brilliant! The coordinated chanting and flag waving was quality. You are entitled to cheer if your team scores albeit in the wrong section of the crowd, apologies if you were struck and set upon. At least you had the last laugh although i think all still to play for in the second leg.

I know there is alot of animosity for the Bundesliga. However, it's not a farmer's league like people think it is. Many of the teams there, don't have the big budget like other leagues, but have to get creative to play ball at such a high level. Proof is in the pudding look at today's result and the game against Barcelona. Glasner is one of the best coaches in Europe, his work at Wolfsburg was really phenomenal last season. His tactics took them to the champions league.

It was a great game, I loved to see it. I'm neutral so I didn't picked any side. But what's pretty embarassing is that friends of mine got kicked out of the stadion for speaking german even tho they are WHU fans. They had a lot of shit to clear out in advance (work, plane tickets, hotel etc) only just to get kicked out, because they are german. Get your shit together!

English atmosphere at games has always been different to Europe etc, As you see in Italy Germany or Holland there ultras bring huge banners that are made months in advance & flags etc Crystal palace try to replicate it with there version but it's not on the same level, i first see this when Footbalk italia came to uk Tv & Gazza went to Lazio & i started following them from there on, way before most with the Di Canio connection, all seater has changed football in England for sure & i hate it as i first went in the late 70,s early 80,s back then it was brilliant, well played frankfurt no problem with you or Germans in general, great club & fans ⚒
