It kinda sounds like it, but it's actually just a really hard H stop if you listen close. It's actually closer to "beh-her-room", but with a fast inhale on the "her" part.

I remember going to that store when i was 8 back in 95' with my mother. I saw the special man with damn cigar in his mouth, and drool was coming down off of it, LMAO!!!
I’ve left my beloved NOLA and live in CT now. Just showed my boyfriend this ad and he had to watch it 3 times to both understand what was being said and believe it was not a Mr. Show skit. I didn’t bother explaining the shuffle.
It gave people a chance to have nice furniture without being judged for their credit, I’m sure so many people were grateful to be able to have a nice bed or dining room table for their families to enjoy. let’ha have it!
God, I remember when these commercials started airing on TV here......they were immediately epic. If I was flipping through the channels and this was on, I would actually stop so I could see "toupe man" strut his stuff down the aisle at the end. I have one question though......Who in the hell records an obscure furniture commercial from the late 80's and keeps it for 20 years?

This was probably the most legendary New Orleans commercials of all time. 1825 Tulane probably another one, so much that I heard lil Wayne mention it in one of his raps.
I love the special man! Growing up in Baton Rouge this commercial always came on. This commercial is known by most New Orleans or Baton Rouge people. This stuff is classic.

I miss these commercials so much! My wife hated 'em, but I used to turn up the volume and lipsynch to 'em both to annoy my love and because... well... they were the BEST COMMERCIALS EVER.
I just remembered that I had bought a super cheap "love seat" from F&J in the early 90s that looked exactly like what is shown at 0:16. After it got a few inches of water (in my *upstairs*) from the Big K, I gave it away.

That's actually the second generation of the commercial. The first generation didn't have the guy saying "with noooo problem". He was added to later commercials. Thanks for posting this, I still tell people today if there's a problem "you have to see the Special Man."

Gotta love it NOLA, that dance is PRICELES!!! only people from here would get it and LOVE it, I remember this from when I was a little girl. The commercial might've been cheesy but we all knew where to go if we had no credit/bad credit or filed for bankruptcy, lol!!!! So glad to call this place home (sometimes) =}
