My headcanon is that the girl at 0:54 wasn’t even meant to be there. She just stumbled into the audition room / class & declared herself the queen of the universe, and then left immediately.
I'm pretty sure it's one of those video dating shops that were in shopping malls in the 80's and 90's. You make a tape, and other people watch your tape, and decide if they want to go on a date with you.
Liam Dijkhuizen I've heard it's an audition for a store's ad.They were supposed to do some lines paired with an action but i have ne clue why it came out so weird.
Ok I think I've figured it out; This is footage of an acting class that somehow got leaked. I've attented my share of acting classes, and one thing they get you to do is repetitive, odd excercises like this. It's to practice your speech and mannerisms. These guys are obviously just on day one.
I read somewhere that it was to make them feel more comfortable, either on camera or just conversing with people in general, and that they weren't actors. Which makes the most sense to me, they seem like random people not actors. But that's similar to what you said.
It makes tingles go up and down my spine. You can even hear the bones clatter. My hair even goes up like in Studio Ghibli movies when they get angry or surprised.
This is a collection of demo reels. A demo reel (also known as a “showreel” or “sizzle reel”) is a one- to two-minute-long edited video collection of an actor's best performances. With the context behind the video here is that it's originally from a collection of these demo reels that originate from an acting school called "Sarantos Studios" located in Oak Park,Illinois.
