Nah, it's just a little bit more sophisticated than the bubblegum pop you fancy now. It takes a little longer to appreciate the jazzy soulful choice of house here, but if you're lucky, you'll get there one day. Then you'll understand.
Hello and great call. Sir Francis has us dancing around the house and the world too by sharing this. Man was a force who challenged and changed. This stuff helped us get through bad times and is worth more. Foots tapped by our oldies who can still cut a rug if needed in their 80s and 90s. Play this on the Moon when we go back. Engineers Can Dance, The Minute Men from late 80s. House forever, peace and Night from us
Saw this great man with my big sis NYE 2013, The Hacienda at Albert Hall in Manchester. What a night & what a memory. Nothing but love for Frankie Knuckles 💞

Well said. There will never be someone remotely as talented as Frankie Knuckles. I had the privilege to meet him and dance to his music at the Sound Factory Bar in NYC in the late 90's.
There are people who make the world better only living in it: You have been one of them! For years, You have entertained us with your amazing music, and I'll remember you for the rest of my life. I really miss you. Rest in peace, Dear Frankie Knukles.
I'm from Antigua, My grandfather is from Dominica and My great grandfather was from Trinidad! Shoutout to all my caribbean people who love and appreciate house music :D
RIP FK... you brought me some serious vibes ever since I started listening to house and DJing from when I was about 14 yrs! Wow, 30 years later and here I am listening to you on Boiler Room!
So happy I got to see him play live before he died. Admired his music for 20-odd years. One of the true legends of House music who brought so much joy to the scene. RIP Frankie.
never seen such a bunch of deadheads as you say they don't understand what an honour it is to be in the same room as the GOAT when it comes to house i'm sure there are thousand out there who would give anything to be there
No effects, no scratching, no unnecessary knob-adjusting, no jumping around like he's having convulsions, not even any engagement with the crowd. He just lets the music speak for itself. RIP
My Condolences to the friends and family of Frankie Knuckles a true DJ and Producer of House music. Opened many doors to an army of Dj producers and artist of this genre of music.
Today is indeed a sad day, but then you listen to one of his sets that are so full of love and just thank God that He shared Frankie with us. RIP godfather, family and friends and thank you SO much for all you've contributed.
FRANKIE YOUR SMILE, YOUR KINDNESS, YOUR GIFT IT MOVED ME FROM THE MOMENT I MET YOU, AND WILL STAY WITH ME UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN..... I LOVE YOU FRANKIE..... WHISTLE IN PARADISE MY FRIEND. #frankieknuckles
This brilliant underated boiler room mix by the legendary Frankie Knuckles will and was always the legendary godfather of house music everyone you have inspired in the business will always oh you debt of gratitude to the birth of house music alnight long. Legend
Look, don't let no one kill your energy. I remember going to the house sets in Chi-Town back in the day and man if no one else was dancing, me and the fellas would get it started. Usually a fine honey would come right out there with you and start partying too. Bump the rest of the chumps!!!
NYC in the house! We were right there in 1985, 86 banging with Tony Humphries on Friday and Saturday nights after 2a. Smooth. I still have cassette tapes with his shows, I gotta get those put on cd before they demagnetize!
@@Skiman94 the tapes don't demagnetize. Demagnetize is something you do when the Head Roller in the cassette player becomes magnetized and can cause the tape to get jammed in the cassette player. Even that's an easy fix, a little white alcohol on a q tip, with the tape door open, and on Play, with the Q tip cleaning the magnetic particles from the wheel, and also the metal roller. I know all the inside outs of cassettes and still have hundreds from back when I did mixtapes in the 80s. I've taken them apart and completely fixed popped tapes as well. House music wise, check out The Fun House Show Live. It has classic house tracks and current. The dj on there spins like a new York dj, all about the mix. You can Google or go to mixcloud. It's worth it to hear.
this is an excellent example of what 60 years in techno looks like. knuckles was in declining health in this set, we miss you frankie and will always dedicate our music in your name. watch this set and see the legend having fun in his element one last time 👊
the beauty of house music is that its timeless 2013 to 2021 its still bangin..Frankie was truly a master at his craft, the transitions the effects and the record selection next level
The master of Mixes will be loved forever and never forgotten his magic has delighted millions around the music world , and that magic will be forever.

13:40 god damn! Such a master's touch...how he cleared the way, grabbed their attention then dropped that Lou Rawls gem! House Music 'till the day I die. See you soon, Frankie.
I like to think that when I hit the dancefloor I'm like that black girl behind Frankie. She's so into it, lost in the music, loving it, no inhibitions, great mover. Respect. x
what can I say the godfather of it all a legend in his own right god bless you frankie knuckles your music will live on forever and your legacy ,,,,,**♥** Great mix *****♥*****
I am a white 50 year old male who grew up with house music and the rave scene, Frankie Knuckles is a legend and I miss him dearly ... when The Look track drops it looks like they are at a funeral save for the black absolutely love her energy bless her
This speaks volume of the kind of gent he was and his love for music. No matter if its a packed house or a small group, Frankie Knuckles will play from his heart!! I love that! Miss u FK!!
Thank God for the black girl who showed appreciation by dancing with passion to the brilliant mix delivered by one of the greatest DJs of all time. The guys sitting down the entire set should have gone to the park and fed pigeons.I consider guys like this club killers.
Douglas Creed said it best....i think they should start introduce the boiler room 'will you dance test'.....no matter how hipster you are, one does simple not sit for Frankie Knuckles....one dances, and dances, and dances until one cant dance no more...then one finds espresso or red bull :p
