Last time we were in Franklin Park was back in the spring when an unexpected freight train derailment occurred and it was quite an unusual situation. This time around, thankfully no trains had any issues. We had a short day along the CPKC Elgin Subdivision for the first time since the announcement of the Canadian Pacific and the Kansas City Southern Merger back in the spring and it was overall a good day. Despite being humid outside, the train action was fabulous. Unfortunately, we had to cut our day short due to last minute afternoon plans but we still got a good amount of trains to show for what we had. Enjoy the video!
