The idea that Franky was 'allowed' to beat the shit out of Ussopp (or have his family do it for him) because he had a shit childhood is maybe the most ridiculous One Piece theory I've ever heard. And I've heard some absolutely batshit theories. Franky is great, don't get me wrong, absolute top man, but we can still think that while not making excuses for him. He (and his family) reaped what they sowed. It was absolutely deserved.

No? It's Aqua Laguna, as a reference to the fact that the insperatiation, Acqua Aita happens because of a lagoon. Oda said this in a SBS. It's called Aqua Raguna in Japanese because Japanese doesn't differentiate between Ls and Rs

@@thatonepsycho5157 No, he didn't. Or rather, he said that the Aqua Ragna was inspired by the Aqua Alta (which means high water), but he didn't say anything about lagoon references. The Aqua Alta is not caused by a lagoon either, it reaches its peak IN the Venetian lagoon. The simple truth is that if you want to write "laguna" in Japanese, you can't do it the way Oda has done it. Japanese doesn't work that way. The "u" is too short. When you write it the way he does, the "u" becomes silent. If you listen to what they say in the anime, you can hear it in the way every single character pronounces the word.

Id trade thriller bark for one of the rast blue arcs maybe arlong or baratie honestly. Just remembered Alabasta, yeah would definetly add alabasta there

thats 3 good episodes in a 40 episode arc. brookes story and the zoro moment were peak but arcs like arlong park barataie and alabasta are so much better than thriller bark
