I somehow never see anyone ever coming back to a telling of this story, which is, in a way, a blessing, but also kind of sad. It'd be great if Hollywood had the balls to explore Kafka. He was harrowing. His words could tear you apart. This is perfect. It's great the way it is. The sad part is people will stop doing things like this, and the literary geniuses of the world may very well slip away as a sort of unknown.
Written and directed by Doctor Who, no less! (although I prefer Malcolm Tucker- I would pay anything to hear the Doctor tell the Daleks "Fuckity 'bye!"
Would love to see Peter Capaldi make a feature along the same lines as this, Strictly Sinatra was OK but that has more to do with the producers than with Peter. Perhaps Peter could direct an adaptation of Metamorphosis?
I thought he looked a bit different but that was nearly 20 years ago, so... oh well, still good. HAHA Now looking at his IMDB page, he was a W.H.O Doctor in World War Z.. lulz.

The protagonist of Kafka's The Castle is also known only as K. The same character, perhaps? In the original manuscript he wrote "I", thus making it a first person narrative. As the book progressed he went back and changed all the "I"s to "K".
