I love that in all the years of Frasier halting Nile's chance at Daphne due to ethics and timing reasons, he dropped all of that to tell Niles despite him and Daphne both married and engaged, respectively.
In the long run, Frasier really saved his brother’s and Daphne’s lives by doing this. And it’s especially phenomenal when you consider how many times Frasier talked Niles out of confessing to Daphne in the past. Here, he completely makes up for it and proves how much he loves them both and wants them to be happy.
Mel may have been unlikeable but she genuinely loved Niles and didn't abuse him like Maris did and Donny may not have been important in the show but since the actor guest starred a few times, they could've given him a better ending.@@JimmySteller
@@lordalessan I was being sarcastic. I never liked how Mel and Donny were treated in the show. They were both portrayed as likeable and reasonably three dimensional but then they had to make them into villains so that we wouldn’t hate Daphne and Niles.
@@JimmyStellerDonny eventually found true love and remarried. The show confirms this later on. He and Daphne were never meant to be together. Frasier did him a favor, too. As for Mel, she revealed her true colors as a sadistic sociopath and deserved the humiliation she got.
I’m pretty sure he eventually admitted that it was his fault. The urgency of this particular moment meant he couldn’t afford to let Niles waste time by lashing out at him for spilling the beans - he had to maintain Niles’ focus on the key facts, which were that Daphne knew how Niles felt and that she reciprocated. So that’s why he brushed aside the topic of how she found out with an answer that could be brushed aside.
Not as many as you’d think. He was married. Then Niles separated from Maris and Daphne broke up with Joe, but Frasier dissuaded Niles from asking her out. She met Rodney and after being dumped, she said two things: she wanted to be single and she couldn’t date someone who was separated. When Niles finally divorces Maris, Daphne is with Donny.
@@bennybenjben9594 Much of the time they kinda managed to express that it simply wasn't an appropriate time for one or both of Niles or Daphne to really be entering relationships.The point of the love story is that Niles and Daphne both needed to grow a lot before they were ready to settle down. How effective they were at selling it is a bit hard to say, but anyways
@@mattdaugherty7865 Frasier talked him out of it most of the time - this scene is cathartic in that regard because Frasier finally amends his mistakes and becomes the catalyst for his brother to finally be with Daphne.
