Anyone else find these intros super comforting? Some nights when watching this show, I would get in bed, with the lights out, and curl up under the covers right as the intro came on. That to me, was so relaxing. Still is. :)
for real - i always associated this show with my childhood and now i watch it especially when im stressed with university and its definitely calming to me
Chris Nowak - Actually I do find them super comforting, Chris! That’s why I looked on RU-vid to see if anybody had put all of them together, because why wouldn’t they?!Sometimes, if a block of Frasier is on, and I’m on Facebook not paying attention, every time another episode starts I have to stop and watch the little opening! And if I forget to pay attention to it, it pisses me off! And at times, I need a Frasier fix even if I am watching something else, and if I know Frasier is on I flip over to it just to see which one it is, then go back to whatever I was watching! How bananas is that?! I wonder why these are so comforting?
Depends on the long intro. Plenty of iconic ones that one can never skip over because they only enhanced the show like Hawaii Five-O, The Rockford Files, Perry Mason, The Sopranos, Dukes of Hazzard, Matlock, Night Court, Magnum, PI Amen, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, Barney Miller etc.
The Shield was another short and to the point intro - although it’s mood was the complete opposite of Frasier. It fit the show; got you pumped up: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hyQ_QCHfNoY.html
I wish this could be made into one long (hours) smooth piece. I absolutely adore the series and the intros, they have an instant calming effect on me. A tonic for anxiety.
Loved everything about this show, the characters and actors, the apartment, and of course the intros. It is my favourite comedy - clever, witty and urbane. Makes you feel cosy when the grey clouds sweep in.
Eternalite - I agree with you, Eternalite! Every night when I watch “Frasier” for hours, I can’t wait to find out which opening theme is going be on each upcoming episode! Sometimes I even try to guess which one is coming up next, occasionally I’m right! And I just realized that I have no life, LOL! I’ve been meaning to look here on RU-vid to see if someone had put them all together, but I never seem to remember to do it or have the time. So I’m finally glad I did it tonight! Now I know that no matter where I am or what time it is, all I have to do is come here to RU-vid and watch your little video for my “Fraser” song fix! Thankies!
Reminds me of those sunny Wednesdays watching a tape of _Frasier_ from NBC the previous Tuesday (and then the stuff on Discovery Kids) before going outside to stand on the swing set. Memories.
2:03 green with the train passing by is pretty good. the smaller or colorless animations fit best but I never noticed the animations were different before so I shouldnt be so critical. 😂👍
For other programs, I was usually fine if I could hear the beginning from another room, but for _Frasier_ I wanted to be watching before the intro so I could see what new animation there might be. My favorite sitcom, too.
My best friend introduced me to Frasier when I got a place with him right after college . Every time it came on, he and I would watch it together, and it quickly becme one of my favorite "comfort food" shows. There were a lot of challenges then, but I do miss those day. I binged Frasier on Hulu a few months ago, which awesome, but it just didn't feel the same. It felt like something was missing.
From 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the cozi network, they still play the older episodes of Frasier. I will watch them from time to time even though i seen almost all the episodes already but still a good show and there's a few that I missed back then too.
I remember watching this over a decade ago and thinking I want to see all the little cartoons that show up and then here they are I love that you can find anything on RU-vid this was a great compilation and thank you for putting it together so wonderfully.
"It is one of my favorite shows (just behind Seinfeld)" I swear to god we must be clones, since Frasier is my favorite show right after Seinfeld too. Both are magnificent and timeless shows. Oh 0:46 is my favorite theme, but I'd prefer it with the Season 11 gold text rather than Season 3's green text.
2:25 Man, that bass along with the vibraphone! I SO LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM, but that one in particular brings so much nostalgia. Thanks a lot for sharing this!
I’m gonna have to go back to this show and see if I can appreciate it. Frazier was that one show I didn’t see. During the 90’s I was in high school when these shows were huge. I loved and watched all of the rest like Friends, Golden girls, Seinfeld, Full House, Home Improvement, Mad about You, Family matters, Fresh prince, Different world, Roseanne, Boy meets world, Martin, News radio, Cheers on late night and so much more…90’s was def comedy series golden age. 80’s too. It was the common thing to do after school there was no internet or social media thankfully. During middle school, I almost didn’t see Seinfeld. Found Frazier and Seinfeld boring and very adult comedy. Thankfully when I got to high school I watched Seinfeld cause it was the time the series was ending and everyone was talking about it, it played before or after some shows I watched and found it quirky but very smart writing and I got more and more into it. I still recall not getting the sarcasm and jokes when younger. Now I love the show. Frazier I still find boring lol but now that Im older and work in mental health, maybe I’ll give the show a shot and I’ll like it.
Oh, man you definitely need to go back because Frasier is as top tear a sitcom as the others you mentioned in your post. One of my favs since childhood. As an adult I get the intelligent humor and literary references more so I enjoy it more now than as a kid. It's funny because as a teen I watched Friends a lot but now as an adult I find it generic and overrated like crazy. Not a bad show but just not as brilliant as people make it out to be. In the debate of Friends vs. Living Single I'm definitely more of a Living Single guy.
This is one thing I don't think Frasier gets enough credit for: it's style. No other show, before or since, comedy or otherwise, looks or sounds like Frasier did. Even if Frasier Crane got surrounded by a bunch of mediocre characters and the show tanked, TV junkies would still admire it for it's unique style. Of course, that didn't happen; Niles and Daphne and Roz and Martin are almost as well remembered as Frasier himself.
I agree! Though I would argue that the other characters are just as much well remembered as Frasier, especially NIles. These openings as well as the closing theme song playing over a scene and the black cue cards were so original at the time and still are today.
Quaint, whimsical and calming lol. I remember watching Frasier on Channel 4 in the UK as a kid and having no real idea of what was going on but I just liked the act of watching the show itself.
I've been watching reruns of Frasier on Comet for quite some time now. What is it about the intro tunes? As soon as I heard it again, the first time in many years, it gave me the most soothing feeling that seemed to take me back to the past. Now I look forward to it every night at bedtime. 🧡
Nice job Karl! The sound quality is great and the segue-ways are perfection! I watched somebody else’s video compilation, and it was quite sloppy and it sounded like he recorded it off the television. I have wanted a Frasier theme compilation for so long! Thank you!
I would have loved to have seen: A kite with a tail, a flock of birds, a stork, rocket, butterfly, and a UFO. If they ever do a reboot special it should be a drone.
I finished rewatching all the Cheers episodes and decided to keep going with Frasier - I'd never paid much attention to the intros back when it aired but have been noticing them on Netflix since I watch every episode from the start. I wondered if someone collected them all and someone did. Nice job.
