His arrogance really shines through by asking that they not use his last name. It's a nationally televised program and appears on nearly every streaming channel there is. He truly is an idiot if he thinks that only using his first name is going to keep him from being recognized. He is now permanently on the internet for thousands of people to see. Maybe he should have been a little less concerned about his name and more concerned about people seeing what a slob and liar he is. Any smart person that hires someone to manage their property, work for their real estate company or sell their house privately will receive his full name and do a background check on him, he can run but he'll never be able to hide deep enough for his BS to not be found.
I don't think the plaintiff is gonna find these other dudes to sue. And even if he does,they not gonna pay. This is gonna be one of those things that he will have to keep going back to court saying they haven't paid yet over and over
you can sue severally or jointly. You're supposed to be able sue anyone you choose and he has to pay the whole thing. If the defendant likes, he can sue the other tenants for their part of the damage.
Exactly what I was thinking, but he's limited by the statutory maximum. There was a lot more than $3,000 damage to that house. He's better off going after each of them individually.
Univ of Tenn recently suspended a Fraternity for several years. I guarantee their house on campus is a dump. Considering how long it has been there, it probably should be torn down.

Plaintiff said that 2mos rent = $1,770, but that for 6mos of late fees, he took $177 * 6 but that would be 12mos of late fees. He won more than he shouldve!
They said it was six late checks, not six months of late fees. Since he charged two months at a time, six checks would be 12 months of late fees (which is what he claimed: "He never paid on time during this lease term"). Definitely see the confusion though. I've heard of paying by the semester, but never charging two months rent every two months.

So according to the defendant it’s ok to trash a house because he feels the owner makes enough money to make it not matter. The bathroom alone was extremely disgusting!! I raised four kids (2 girls & 2 boys), and they were never as messy as those adults!
