Take a small car like the rambaler throw a 390 in it and will run that was the Herat scrambler

Good looking car, but a Rambler with a 302 Chevy and a Ford 9” isn’t really an AMC anymore...

Yeah i get it. But some cars are hybrid. I agree though . A 390 would have been preferable. i guess the lack of parts & performance parts for engines makes it difficult these days. I live in New Zealand and these are so rare these days. i had a 64 american in the the late eighties that i put a chevy 302 in to go racing . Totally not a full AMC but still a great platform to run on the road and race. loved that little car.@@TradesmanOutdoorAdventures

Nice car except for the power plant. Yes I run a Chevy engine as well, but I'm a poor boy. With all that money you put into it you should've put an AMC engine in it.

@@CarsandCats amc amx 390 were top contenders in ss/d ss/c and now ss/b running against the best of the top three for over 40s years no Chevy small blk ever beat the ss/amx in those classes in fact no small blk of any brand ever did.the quickest factory small blk ss to ever run against Chevy L88 ,hemis and Ford bb.and usually had low at for the class
