First Ruvy Touch Pico Laser in South-east Asia
Dr Justin Boey, Medical Director of Sozo Aesthetic Clinic
What Is It For?
Freckles
Epidermal pigmentation
How It Works
Using 660nm laser beams at picosecond pulse duration, “Ruvy Touch” laser for epidermal pigmentation is the next generation in Epidermal (Superficial) Pigmentation Removal.
660 nm is a safer wavelength than 532 nm for removal of epidermal pigmented lesions due to its lower absorption in hemoglobin.
The lower absorption characteristics of 660 nm in hemoglobin allow blood vessels to remain intact even after laser treatment, therefore minimizing potential side effects such as post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation that usually occur as a result of inflammation.
How is Ruvy Touch PicoPlus different from Ruvy Touch in Spectra XT?
Both PicoPlus and Spectra XT are produced by Lutronic Corporation. Both lasers use the same 660nm wavelength in the Ruvy Touch treatments.
The difference is that PicoPlus laser is both a Picosecond Laser and Nanosecond laser whereas Spectra XT is a Nanosecond laser.
Hence, Ruvy Touch in the PicoPlus laser is performed with ultrashort picosecond pulses instead of nanosecond pulses. Picosecond pulses are 100x shorter than nanosecond pulses which makes the treatment safer because of less heat production, inflammation and collateral damage to surrounding tissues.
The Sozo Difference
Innovative technology harnessed by a skilled expert gives you quality results.
Dr Justin Boey is trained in Korea for PicoPlus and has performed numerous successful pigmentation treatments using PicoPlus.
He uses a proprietary protocol of Ruvy Touch PicoPlus treatments combined with other Picosecond Laser protocols to provide effective and safe treatment of superficial pigmentation.
