I know, it’s like… what’s the point, there’s hundreds of thousands of others recording the moment, so not everyone needs to do the same 🤦🏼♂️ but people are so desperate for validation on social media that they need to let people know they are there 🤦🏼♂️

i find mfs like you real interesting. you love to spend time on here complaining about the very things that allow us to archive and review incredible moments like this. everyone has their own reasons for recording and their own ways of enjoying a concert and to impose ur own thinking on that is so arrogant lol. please for the love of god get a grip.
I always find it interesting when people complain like this. 90% of the concert I enjoyed without recording. Then for certain unreleased songs I know there are hype around that you need to go in person to see. I record to show my friends who are all into it. Then there’s the fact the original commenter is watching the video in the first place and complaining about people on their phones. If no one took their phone out we wouldn’t be able to watch it back
I don't agree that the mass recording on phones is for likes on social media, but I do agree it's an absolute atmosphere killer and anyone who is old enough to remember gigs without this phenomenon happening should consider themselves lucky. I understand that must sound like an old man wankerish thing to say, but objectively speaking, it's a complete gig ruiner. One of the special things about gigs, be it electronic music or any other genre, is the idea that everyone in the room is absolutely buying into living in that magical moment and atmosphere that the gig has created. When you stare at your phone, or have to watch others doing it, it destroys it. Artists don't complain because it's great advertising.
