I still can’t believe anyone thought he was faking it. I’ve already said it once I’ll say it every time I talk about it. He went for a solid couple hundred notes and landed exactly 0 of them. There was nothing to fake. I’m fairly certain he’s just trolling us.
He’s “playing” as in httting the strings fast and making a sound come out of an amp and peddle with so much reverb, distortion and delay to make that “sound” we all did in our basement when we were just good enough to think we can solo. 🎸 😮😂😅
I can’t fathom anyone thinking he’s faking this. He’s faking knowing how to play guitar yes but that’s really him making that noise. He’s not correctly fretting a single note! Fred Durst actually solos the same exact way!
I went to the Loserville Tour and I’m not joking it was one of the most unique and fun concerts I’ve ever been to. The amount of energy coming from these all these acts is insane. The crowd was insane as well. So many weird outfits and mosh pits in the lawn 🤣
@@Greatlakeskyle. Nah riff raff was billed as a host. He was both on screen and every now and then would come out on stage. He came out into the crowd and him and some guys were trying to find who had the best mullet. If some said it stunk, then it’s cause they didn’t understand the whole point and joke of the tour. Limp alone was worth it.
I think that's why Fred told him to do it again, there was so much reverb that when he stopped playing it still kept going, the second time Corey hit the pedal and turned the reverb off.
I feel like they meant he’s not playing as in he’s literally not playing actual notes lol anyone can move their fingers along the fret board quickly & make noise
Now that statement is coming from a man who has never played the guitar. I agree. He's not that good. I've been waiting for 30 years. Anybody can not just lift their hands on the press and make noises. Even that good or bad. Listen to someone who has been practicing a year and how terrible they are and how much it will hurt your ears. Then tell me anybody can do it. I'm not trying to be mean to you. though your statement is totally false.
Fred Durst went from looking like a douche to looking like an 1940’s LAPD detective and now he looks like Santa Claus. You never thought this sentence would ever be uttered in the history of humanity, eh? Well… here it is!
He seems to be taking his more recent fashion tips from Julian Assange. I believe he is currently sporting the Belmarsh Prison look. Although, you are right. He looks like Santa clause with that red hat
I don't know why Corey doesn't just go back to acting. With all the new streaming services out there, gotta be something. He would have been perfect in a role on Stranger Things because of the 80s vibe. He'd be a perfect nostalgic 80s reminder on some streaming show.
As a 30-year guitar player, I think I know why people thought he was faking. He is using a ton of delay with the repeats set high. This helps cover booboos, but the repeats continuing after you stop might make someone think you're not really playing.
KDH here on youtube had the best take. Fred proved Corey's reply by showing they are all just having fun with this tour. AND lastly... youtube guitarists and critics who crap on Corey are not opening for Limp Bizkit, thus come across as jealous.
Now THAT'S entertainment! Feldman is hilarious and his ability to troll is masterful. Just the fact that so many people are missing the joke is proof of how deeply funny his whole act is. I say celebrate him while we can because a Corey Feldman only happens once in a lifetime.
I like Corey. As a person. I really do. He's been through the shit and the fact that he is even in the public eye is amazing. I'm not convinced that he's trolling us I just think he's doing his thing and it makes him happy. He deserves at least that much. But if he is trolling us I'm troll food for sure because that shit is entertaining! 😂
I have been losing sleep at night wondering if Corey Feldman is miming his crappy solos. No more sleepless nights, i can finally exhale. I have been unburdened by what has been..
i think the delay had people skeptical. Notes can be heard after he pauses or stops. He's doing it; not sure what, but he's doing it. It would be harder for someone backstage to try to do that in sync with cory.
Corey is just doing some fast tremolo picking and moving his fingers around on the fretboard in a semi-random way. There's no real structure or form to it. Anyone who practices for a few months could do this, maybe less.
*ANYONE CAN MOVE THERE HAND UP AND DOWN AND MAKE NOISE ON A GUITAR. NOTICE THAT'S ALL HE DID. ANYONE HEAR HIM PLAY A RIFF? NOTES, ETC* A 3 YEAR OLD CAN MOVE HIS HAND UP AND DOWN LIKE THAT
I've played guitar along time and I knew it wasn't fake it wasn't good by no means and picking technique needs a lot of work but it was him he was really playing
Wow, I'm actually shocked that people thought he wasn't actually playing. You would think he would get someone better at the guitar if it was a recording. It was very believable he was playing.
I don't know anything about Corey Feldman... I saw part of Goonies once, and I thought it was AWFUL. But, you're not kidding when you say Limp Bizkit is one of the best live bands. I saw them open for Metallica many years ago. When LB first came out, most of the crowd was booing them. But by the time they left the stage, that whole stadium was chanting for an encore, because they were THAT amazing live. Mostly, it was because of Fred Durst. That MF'er knows how to work a crowd like no other. It was really quite a thing to witness a band win over 100,000+ people like that.
a lot of people who actually have a soul are glad he's actually still alive and is doing things that are fun considering his really bad past. he could play 3 blind mice and I would have his back.
Are you talking about the 2003 Summer Sanitarium tour? I saw them with Metallica at The Forum. I don't remember them getting booed, but I wasn't a fan at the time and didn’t even know they were on the lineup. However, their performance was the best I’ve ever seen-it’s always stuck with me. They didn't have Wes either.
@@AlienFrequencyI'm also not a Corey fan, I'm just watching recommend videos, lol. But, shiiit. He has been abused his entire life by older people around him which lead to drugs and alcohol. Etc.
@@9001days Yes, it was indeed The Summer Sanitarium tour. At Ohio Stadium, they were definitely getting booed unmercifully, at first, but they won the crowd over, and it was really cool to see.
Well in a sense he is kinda "faking" it. He's got the gain/reverb/delay so high, a non musicians ear can only tell he missed 99% of all the notes instead of the 105% he missed! It's like he dropped a bucket of 200 rocks above someone's head, somehow missed 205 rocks but the prospective of people watching from the front had the appearance of 1 or 2 rocks hitting..
I never saw anyone say that he was faking it and not playing it himself. What I saw was people saying he is playing that but it's just a bunch of garbled notes. Not the same notes each time he plays it. It's not something that has been written and corey is following the notes. That he doesn't play the same thing twice ever. It's a different solo each time because he's not hitting the same notes. He is just strumming fast and runs his fret hand up the nexlck of the guitar each time hitting random note after random note. That's not a guitar solo. It's a disastrous mess.
I just looked up a video of one of his performances on this tour, and all I can say is, WOW! The issue of whether or not he is playing guitar is not even relevant. There are much deeper-rooted issues here. 😂🤣
i saw them 3 times twice in tampa and in alabama for the first time in 24 years! i was ready for every act's setlist. corey was using a delay effect its obvious to guitar players it's all good. durst came up and it was super cool. almost got the drum stick from the drummer of coreys band, they were alight ya know i dig his energy
I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old. Maybe after a year of playing I could do this exact same solo type. You could teach this solo to someone who's never played the guitar in a couple hours.
Steve Terreberry got me hooked on bad bad Feldman moments…the mic fighting him on stage to yelling at crew before every show. I’m 51. He was my dude in the Goonies…I loved him! Im 51 so watching two of our generations Corey’s evolve into this….sad sad day. The shredemptions….
He actually did a great interview on the Xfive podcast before that show in Birmingham. If you haven’t seen it, I would suggest watching. It’s quite hilarious.
