For nearly a century, Hollywood has captivated and influenced generation after generation of moviegoers. Its magic has left an indelible imprint on every culture with a movie projector. Originally broadcast on PBS, HBO/Cinemax, TNT, A&E, Lifetime, and Bravo, this is one of the most comprehensive collections of biographies and cinema retrospectives ever compiled, a spectacular treasury of 32 revealing biographies of Hollywood’s most beloved stars. These biographies, some narrated by the stars themselves, include interviews with friends, family members and colleagues, as well as clips from their most memorable films, and in some cases, rare home movies.
“Over 350 actors, writers, directors, producers, make-up people, publicists, agents, and family members all gave of themselves to help make these shows possible. This was the way it was in Hollywood in its classic era and these were the stars that captured us.” - Gene Feldman, producer/director of The Hollywood Collection.

One of my favorite actors. Him and Carole Lombard in swing high swing low is a good one! 🎺💕 🎥🎬🍿♥️👏👏 Was he known as 1 of the cheapest male actors in Hollywood? 💵💲

Always liked him about the time he was in Disney movies. It was in the late 1950's and the 1960's, I think. The movie perhaps? The Shaggy Dog? I'm almost 70 and I can't remember. But I liked him, Doris Day, Sandra Dee in the Tammy movie series, Kate Hepburn and Maureen O'Hara, John Wayne! All those great actors and actresses. But McMurry shows were cute, sometimes funny and always clean. My folks never worried about me when I was at the Movie Theater for Saturday Matinees, me seeing something lewd or racey. Young as I was, I never wanted to be a star, but I wanted them as my friends, when I was growing up and television was black and white. (laughs and rolls her eyes) Silly, innocent little girl from small town, Wyoming! It was safe back then to be innocent.

Yes, he did star in "The Shaggy Dog" according to this video. And the "Absent-minded professor" which I need to see again.
