I don't know what Joe does for a living if it's not RU-vid full time but he, and Emily, deserve every recognition in the world and to find someone that talented, dedicated and passionate is rare and it makes for spectacular viewing. Joe and Emily for wheeler dealers.... with bikes.

I must be reading this wrong: so it only added up to nearly £1700 in cost of labour? A whole spick-and-span nut and bolt rebuild? That’s an insane value for money considering this is now virtually a brand new bike. Incredible work!
@TheWurks

Hi Matt, no £1700 ish was parts. We worked 53 or so hours on it. There was no labour charged!

Full marks to Joe and his crew for a really Top-Line job. The "Freddy Dobbs Triumph" series however also serves to focus on other,more mainstream Motorcycle Shops,who for whatever reason could not,or would not diagnose and repair Freddy's machine. Good Motorcycle Mechanics are a fast disappearing species. Hopefully The Wurks can take on an enthusiastic apprentice on the back of this ! 🙂

Joe, this restoration is UNBELIEVABLE! And, what’s even more unbelievable is the how reasonable the finally cost of the entire project has been! I was flabbergasted (in a good way) that you could bring the bike back to better-than-new for such fraction of the cost of new bike! Amazing work! And thanks for sharing the journey with us.

Am I going mad or is that front tyre on the wrong way?
@MaaZeus
@MaaZeus 4 месяца назад
No. Motorcycle tyres look weird and often the front tire pattern looks like it it is in reverse compared to car tires. There is a reason for it but I forgot what it was. In any case, there is always a rotation arrow in every motorcycle tyre and you should follow it no matter what your common sense may argue.

so this is the model of motorcycle ownership; treat it with real disregard, don't look after it, then offer high profile vlogs and get an attractive and competent mechanic to put things right. lets hope Joe got more than thanks for the mamoth work he did in terns of diagnosis and repair

You sound really salty. Joe offered to help FD. I understand FD paid for the parts. And Joe reciprocated his knowledge and skills, gratis. Dunno about you, I thought it was a nice thing to do, for another human being. Here's a wild guess: The vlogging was a secondary consideration. Perhaps Joe may like to chime in.

Incredible job, Joe and Emily! I have been following Freddie since his very first video, and as much as I want him to get a Speedmaster…my current bike… :-)…seeing Freddie so despondent and about to scrap the Bonneville was quite sad. The fact that Joe contacted Freddie and was able to bring it back to life and then Neil detailing it and bringing it back to showroom condition aesthetically while you and Emily brought it back to new mechanically, it is amazing. I have to say, though, I am shocked by the “final tally.” About 1700 pounds? Is that Joe’s labor only, at a discounted rate? I would imagine it would be 7 to 10 times that amount. I cannot get an annual service from a US Triumph dealer for much less than $500! I would love to see more detail about the cost. Cheers!

@@TheWurks Thanks for the reply! I understand your reasoning, but I’m in Sussex, a little far from you I think, and I’m unsure if anyone close to me would be as caring and attentive as you are 🙏😀

I have withdraw symptoms.. What do I watch of a Sunday now..! Well likely a new project in pipeline soon. It's been one incredible restorations, not one element left untouched nor rebuilt.. cherry was the ceramic coating.. Freddie can just hose the dust/dirt off. Long may he ride. Big thank you both for the time and effort put into the Bike. Cheers
