Ah looking forward to this - mainly for one selfish reason.... I'm wanting to get a Quadlock for my Interceptor (with vibration dampener and USB charger etc) and want to put it on the crossbar exactly how you have yours in this video - and wanted to check it would look OK before I bought it!

Great video as per usual! I recently bought the older DJI Osmo Action 3 mainly just to go on my handlebars and film backwards and really cannot fault it for the price. I've never personally owned a GoPro (my "helmet" camera is a Sena 10c Evo all-in-one) but after seeing so many people like yourselves experiencing issues with them, I went for the much cheaper DJI and if I'm in the market for any more I'll always look at DJI first from now on.
Just editing the first stack load of footage of the Action 4 and super impressed so far. The reliability so far and ease of use is stella. Time will tell but we will definitely report on our experience in coming videos
Each to there own I suppose, not the spec I would purchase for myself always spokes for the win for me. Having said that a bike to really use for miles or commute on, I can see how the ease of maintaining and cleaning with cast wheels and no fancy badges would appeal.
My 2020 five hundred developed a crank bearing noise at 5,000 k's and I stripped the entire engine down and purchased the parts I need to replace from Hitchcock's in England.
That bottom screw you removed is a level screw, not a drain screw. When filling the case when oil starts to come out of that hole the level is correct. To drain the primary, remove the cover!
@@TheWurks I’m on my 2nd Sportster Custom 1200. I traded my 2012 in for a 2014. I’ve had them for 5 years. Honda before that. I live about an hours ride from the HD York,PA plant. I actually worked there in the early 80’s as part of a team to computerize the assembly line. This was back when HD just repurchased the brand from AMF. Lots of stories. It’s also where I first came in contact with the Sportster. It fit good then, it fits good now. I am 74 and can handle the weight nicely. If I can’t pick it up….. I won’t ride it. Oh dear. This looks all too familiar. I too have an R/E Bullet and just like this one the Stator was damaged but not cracked however the Rotor was rubbing like this one but the reason it was rubbing is because the Crankshaft was seriously out of balance. I didn't even need any special equipment to see how bad it was because it was that bad that i could see it wobble to the naked eye. I had to split the crankcases & get the crankshaft trued up. Please check the run-out as it looks like a Mirror Image of all my troubles. I could be wrong, maybe whoever fitted the stator never loctited the 3 nuts & it vibrated loose. If so, after you set the air-gap i take one nut off at a time then loctite it. NOT all 3 at once obviously.
Hey Ian, Thanks for the shout, we will certainly be checking the runout. Hopefully its my first suspicion, seems the stator was replaced with a lucas item fitted to a Royal Enfield original rotor so total mis matched parts.
The morning ov my sister's driving test went had a drive as she didn't have a clue about the clutch for hill start's so we went to a hill and explained it's like a ham sandwich then got her to make the vehicle be stationary on hill with clutch control and move forward or backwards on the clutch control she passed and never had a issue after

Good video. Watching from near Vancouver, BC. I ‘m building my ‘76 T140V with a Boyer Mk 4 for spark and a POD tronics for the charging system. I stupidly bought a fancy fabric covered Lucas harness and then realized 30% of the system is designed for the points system and I won’t need it….plus it is loaded with el cheapo white plastic enclosed spade connectors 😂.. the female half 😂😂😂…. So now I think I will snip snip and go with brass bullet connectors as that is the only thing I ever saw on a British bike.. My question is , while I have run wires for the Boyer, the POD , the battery feed wire up front, do I need to still use the harness wires for the ignition switch as well? I have ‘Emgo signals which I will wire in as normal Lucas bits. It seems to me the little three terminal key switch need more terminal post than three but I assume I run a jumper power wire from the key switch to the headlight toggle switch? TIA for any information you can provide , Cheers, Jon
I think you're spot on there. ATF seems to have been the default fluid for this era of bike. Even the workshop manual is suitably vague describing the damping oil as 'hydraulic fluid' and mentioning viscosity of 30 weight or 10w30 so ATF would appear to fit the bill perfectly.
