Yeah, when …boxframecadillac… came out, I knew he was one to follow. Shortly after the Madlib collabs started dropping, and the respect just continued to grow from there. It’s amazing how much he’s accomplished by continuing to believe in himself. His style exists outside of time too, usually when you’re making top lists, when you start trying to break it down you end up with “this guy from this era, that guy from that era.” Freddie Gibbs is just different and rocks any kind of beat thrown at him.
