The guy talking at the end of God is Perfect is Gil Scott Heron. He was a 70s artist that was spitting rhymes over live instrumention before their was rap. He was a huge influence on Kanye who has sampled his work alot. His biggest song was Revolution Will Not Be Televised. Gibbs bar about genocide was a play on that song

Freddie Gibbs is easily one of the best rappers in the game right now. For the last 5-6 years he's dropped nothing but heat, and "Bandana" was the best album of 2019 hands down.

Every Freddie Gibbs reaction is a gift. His growth from 2009 from now is about as developmental as Mac Miller - every album gets better because they are finding their sound, experimenting, and making sure they don’t become stagnant. Thanks JD for covering artists like this.

A few more listens and you’ll say it’s a 10 out of 10. At least that’s what happened for me. It seems everything Freddie and The Alchemist touch these days is absolute gold. They are truly grinding and dedicated to their craft, it shows in their works. Projects like this make me excited for rap and music in general. “Scottie Beam”, “Skinny Suge”, “Something to Rap About”. Peace.
