just playing some beats using the MPC Renaissance along with the MPC 2.2 Software. Some beats i start on the MPC Live, then bring them over to the computer, and others I make directly using the MPC software along with the Renaissance as the controller.

just got a ren 2023 and i love it! this is so much more than a controller and my production already has made a huge shift. I been on this MPC for three days.. two naps and coffee!!

Those beats are so good they stay in your head. Youve got skills man. I play hard rock/metal guitar and I love it when I'm chilling out at a pool or in a guitar store and people are like 'That kicks ass' 'Cool riff man' and start head banging to it. Whether you're an amatuer or pro-It's fun making music people connect with. I like all kinds of beat driven music and have made a few cool beats on software before, I'm researching MPCs like the Akais right now.

What computer system are you using for the ren? I just purchased the ren but I have mac os 14.1 and it doesnt support the mpc software.

hi. this video is a few years old, so i no longer have the ren. but just make sure you install the driver for the ren as well as the most current version of the mpc 2 software. you might have to do a little research if you're using a mac using the newer apple silicon chips (m1, m2, m3).

so do you sequence out your bars on one sequence then just build on that one sequence? I've been building with 2 or 4 bars on each sequence then putting them together in song mode. Looks like your sequences are a lot longer than that.

Awesome vid and beat! I wish the MPC Ren was a stand alone Machine it looks dope - I used to have an MPC 2000xl but gave it away... now 10 yrs later I’m looking to get back to it ... I haven’t old Beat floppy’s - do you know if the MPC REN will import .aps files ?
