Sid Vicious was from the Punk Rock group The Sex Pistols who was belittling Freddie. However, what Sid didn't know about Freddie was that he had been a track and boxing athlete in India. I don't think Sid expected Freddie to toss him out of the studio. lol
I think the perfect reaction to Sid was whos sid Freddie Mercury legend probably the best front man of any band ever and then there's Sid Vicious who was famous once
Sid Vicious was the singer of the Sex Pistols, one of the most popular punk rock bands at the time. He had a reputation for being, well, a punk. The Sex Pistols happened to be recording in the same studio as Queen, so that anecdote was about him coming in and taunting Freddie, "Have you succeeded in bringing ballet to the masses?" And Freddie was just like, "Doing my best, my dear." Then apparently when Sid became more of a nuisance, Freddie called him "Simon Ferocious" and shoved him out of the room. Freddie didn't take shit from anyone! He effortlessly put hecklers in their place during concerts. There's another story, during one of their '70s shows, someone in the audience called him a gay slur. Freddie ordered the lighting techs to shine a spotlight on the jerk and dared him, "Say it again, darling." The guy just shrank in shame.
I really want you to react to I want to break free or killer Queen or Liar by then but I think you should definitely see Freddie Mercury funny moments part 2😂
great reaction. Basically Freddie was very shy offstage and he didn't like being interviewed cause the reporters/journalists asked mostly dumb, insensitive or repetitive questions or were just trying to butt in to his private life. Sid Vicious was a member of a British punk group called the Sex Pistols. Freddie's concert interaction was at Montreal 1981. While that appears to be one of their more popular recorded concerts, keep in mind that the Montreal crowd weren't the most energetic bunch regarding singing along and participating: they were practically silent for "another one bites the dust" and during Freddie's rendition of "jailhouse rock" he tried to get them riled up by saying "come on, do it you fuckers." when that failed, he can even be heard asking guitarist Brian May if the song could be wrapped up early, to which Brian shook his head. it wasn't till "we will rock you/we are the champions" that they finally woke up and joined in. thats why Freddie was encouraging them to get crazy and even strip! Basically, lesson learned is at a Queen concert, when they tell you to sing, you sing!
When Freddie said "We survive that" about his run in with Sid Vicious, he was referring to what Sid Vicious who o.d after being charged with murder of his girlfriend.
