he was hiding because he didn’t want anyone to see him in the horrible condition that AIDS put him in. he was super self conscious and hated how he looked at the time because of the disease & it makes me so sad he thought that way about himself :((
Yes, they did share Richard in a special way. Freddie was so good with him. He loved Mary and Richard. Yes, sadly, it was his last Christmas, as he passed in November of the following year.
@@starieyes7390 😢😢💔 yes he spent the last Christmas he had on this earth with his godson and the love of his life Mary. It truly shows he always loved her. It hurts so much when people fabricate lies minimizing the relationship between Freddie and Mary.
I feel sad, for Freddie Mercury, but Mary Austin's son looks he is having a good time with his Godfather, Freddie Mercury. Mary Austin wanted Freddie's last Christmas, 1 that he, and Mary Austin's son would never forget. It was so very, very sad that friendship ended tragically, just 11 months later, when Freddie had died. At least, she did see Freddie in the hours before his death, as she was always visiting him, as he was dying, in my humble opinion.
Yes, his last Christmas, spent with Mary, Piers and Richard, at least in part, at their flat in London. I wonder if Freddie brought that bear and little bike for his godson. Mary said Piers finally left because Freddie overshadowed her feelings for him.
When the little boy turned around and just fell on top of Freddie and Freddie hugged him and said,” Oooooooohhhhhh...”, that just tugged at my heartstrings. What an AMAZING father he would’ve been. But, hey, he got to be a godfather to Mary’s child. He didn’t completely miss out on the experience. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yuri Harck Yeah, he didn't completely miss out on fatherhood. Bet he was always with Mary throughout her pregnancy..and who's to say he wasn't there during delivery, of coz waiting outside the delivery room of coz..and being given the honor of naming her firstborn and ultimately becoming the baby's godfather..I'd say dat's as close to father's role as anyone could get, considering he's gay & he had Aids..And yes, definitely, he would've made the best Dad ever to Richard..He spent quality time, with whatever time dat he had left..dat to me is the essence of living... 😊!
Freddie gave him the name Richard and he actually taught him his first words which were tractor and guitar. When I see this I can't help but think how much of a great dad he would've been, I don't know why but I see him more with a daughter than having a son. Either way it would've been amazing if he had a child or some children to carry on his name.
May I suggest a shocking idea?.. What if Richard is... FREDDIE'S SON? Has anyone ever seen Richard's father? Where is Mary Austin's husband? Christmas is an absolute family holiday - why does Mary, if she was married, spend it not with her husband but with some other man?..
Awww, he has his mother's gorgeous eyes! So precious! It's a shame that Freddie never got a chance to experience fatherhood. I think he would've been a wonderful father.
@@frankbarnes1117 Mary didn't have one and he continued to love her for the rest of his life. He even considered her his common-law wife. I don't think we will ever know what was in Freddie's mind and heart. But his love for Mary was real as real could be.
Frank Barnes soulmate doesn’t have to mean romantic. You meet people that are so much like you, that has so much belief and someone you connect with so much - that’s a soulmate. It sounds complicated but I always understood Freddie in that context. You can love somebody in the emotional sense but not sexually, as you can have sex and just have sex without anything but physical means to it.
Rachel Parsons Do y’all not understand what Mary was to him? She was the first one that believed in him truly, and had him really open himself up to the stage. First loves, first friendships, Mary was a constant in Freddie’s life. While everything was spinning and his fame and vices were peaking Mary stood by him. That’s a loyalty and love no one can find easily. He loved Mary in a sense where you would love someone who ALWAYS stood by you, even if you wouldn’t stand by you either. Mary even willingly stood by him when he was struggling with his sexuality...and never blamed him. She was all he trusted. You can love people with different variations. Freddie was obviously not heterosexual (and in my opinion he was gay) but I think his love for Mary doesn’t go well beyond platonic. But it doesn’t erase the fact he does love her, and its the purest kind because it was built on trust and belief
Imagine, being Mary Austin's son, going to school, college, or even work, and telling those around you, who your Godfather was, those around you will be jealous.
He was an absolute sweetheart. This man, one of the most beautifully outragous people, completely sitting back and letting the video be focused on this little boy. Miss you Freddie.
I think he always loved Mary...You can see his love for her son through his eyes and smile...I love his smile..God always gives each person a special gift and in Freddie's case it was many...And his gifts will last a lifetime...
Сыночек на маму похож.Как Фредди их любит.Я представляю, как крестник гордится своим крёстным 🌟 отцом !!! Смотрю с трепетом на эти исторические кадры.....
Freddie Mercury may have wanted Mary Austin, and her family to remember Freddie Mercury, for the kind, caring, wonderful, beautiful, generous, and loving man he was, and not his illness, and what he was facing, as he was a prisoner in his home, cos the press were stalking him night, and day. She always loved Freddie, no matter whatever life threw at him, and he loved Mary Austin just as much. I think it would also be tearjearking to watch, as this was the final Christmas that Freddie Mercury had saw, just 11 months before his tragic, and premature death.
If I had died, the people I would love to meet are Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, David Bowie, George Harrison, George Michael, and Bob Marley. Then my loved 1s, who had died before me, also my late cat, Tommy.
Mary Austin's child, Freddie and the teddy bear are all so cute! Freddie is an amazing singer, friend and a person. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
OMG Freddie!!! I still love you!!!
I've said it before, and I'll indeed say it again, I love this man. I hope he's looking down and seeing how much he means to us all. We love and adore you. We miss you, Freddie Mercury
Thinking of his song the show must go on...how brave of him to push and keep going, he had to be full of fear, knowing his days are numbered. He faced death head on and fought until the bitter end.
The best part to me is that this young man has no idea who Freddie is, other than his godfather. And I think that's exactly how Freddie would want it. It's a lovely Christmas memory.
@@Stan-fm1vr, for a guy, in my 30s, I would do the same thing, sit down with Freddie, and laugh at his jokes, and share the stories of how he met Brian, Roger, and John, in the 1970s, how they formed Queen, and how they stole Live Aid, at Wembley Stadium, in 1985. I would love him to tell me, how he met Jim Hutton, too.
Freddie seemed always to make the most of his private times by being what he wanted to be recognised as - a human being and a fantastic one at that to say the least! Of course these qualities came out in his music ♥️
I wish, Freddie Mercury had a son with Mary Austin. What a nicest feeling if ever it would granted my wish. But, suddenly, it never happened. Omg! It's ok... That's life... hehehehehe.... i think, this could be probably the happiest Christmas Celebration that Freddie had experience entire of his life because Mary's son was there on his side during this Christmas Season.
To that child he was just playing with Uncle Freddie, but to the rest of the world he was playing with the legend!! We miss and love you always Freddie
Ohhhhhh.....how precious this video is!!!!! In so many ways.......1st being Freddie Mercury..but that it's with the NMBR 1 LOVE OF HIS LIFE.....MARY!!! The only one he trusted, just the REAL LIFE BOND he had wth her...and that its wth her son!!!! Freddie GENUINELY loved these 2 wth ALL HIS HEART!!!! And she loved him...NO MATTER WHAT! I'm so happy and thankful for her! She NEVER put him down or made fun of him or ever hated him for him being wth another man !!!! She never ridiculed him! And she never let him be alone in all his worries and bad days!!! God bless her! This woman is an angel!!!! I have tears in my eyes right now wth knowing of ALL THE LOVE that was within these 2 !! Such a beautiful video!!! Thanku thanku !!!
I was so sad when he passed-still am when I think of it-there are just some people that I feel should stay here...This video is so touching-you can tell he wants to concentrate on Mary's son. Sweet video...
Richard is so cute and you can see in the video how much Freddie loved and cared for him. Breaks my heart that he is gone, but t his music will live on forever, I was born many years after his death but I still feel ikr I miss him. Rest in peace Freddie darling :)
di id Life is something it still is so crazy how our health can fell and we look so different he looks so different here I miss him and he did"nt deserve to leave this world like that you can tell he was a kind man................LIFE IS A MOTHERFUCKER.........................
After watching this video I could see how humanity he had and how much he really misses the whole world not only as an artist but as a person! I bet that baby had the most lovely care...having an uncle like Freddie it couldn’t be different than that. In few minutes he destroyed all the false ideas that for years wrongly painted him like an egocentric and selfish man. Today is the 06/09/2021, so happy birthday Freddie...wherever you are 🖤
This is absolutely beautiful!! You can definitely see the love Freddie had for Richard and I'm sure after his death Richard did mourn the loss of his uncle Freddie :)
A kid that stays a kid forever. Missed chance to keep the collaboration with Michael Jackson alive. Mary Austin never getting old. Queen - the greatest Band ever roaming the earth. That's all Freddie saw last until he died. It's kind of sad.
I'm glad he didn't keep it up with Jackson. Who knows what that would have lead to considering what Jackson was. Freddie you could trust with a child. Jackson on the other hand.... Well.
(;About Freddie's illness at the point this video was made:.... )from everything I have read, including Phoebe's book. .. Freddie was still working on that last album and final video. Brian May said they would do Freddie's parts when he was able to come and that Freddie would throw back a couple of vodkas, lean on the mixing desk and sing wonderfully... Albeit weak perhaps, but a still great voice. He managed to live as much of the life he had left as normally as possible right up to the last few weeks.... ❤Freddie Forever❤
He would have been a very great and loving father ! He was a true lover of life and people..We Miss you Freddie, you were one of a kind.God bless your soul
I don’t think he was hiding because of his illness, I think he was hiding so the baby could be the centre of attention. What an unselfish and humble guy :)
Se puede ver que freddie ademas de ser un gran ser humano llevaba mucha alegria en su corazon, ya casi derrotado por la enfermedad el siempre con una gran sonrisa para sus seres queridos.
