Montserrat said she cried when she heard this demo..she said the song represents Freddie and his life with his illness.. which I can totally hear in the words..about his life, his dreams...and so on. So sad. Montserrat and Freddie had a great respect for one another and friendship.

I don't think I ever heard Freddie sing anything so beautiful. He realized his dream singing with her. They were both so beautiful together. I watched that video over and over and I cry every time.
Nobody, I mean NOBODY on earth can or ever will sing like Freddy Mercury, not only the passion and power, but the pure quality and excellence of it. It was absolutely flawless. Freaking beyond amazing and incredible and awesome . He was and still is unrivaled.
Few people know that Fredy was a Baritone. He loved opera, and was a great friend of the soprano Montserrat Caballé, he wrote and performed with her the album Barcelona, a true gem, which mixed rock with bel canto. I invite you to listen to it

It was one of Freddie's biggest dreams to sing together with her, he was a huge fan of her, had so much respect for her kind of work and he was like a child when they met for the first time. The song Barcelona is the famoust duet of them. Being an opera singer is the highest level in singing, it needs so much of sacrifice and is definitely hard work. A beautiful reaction to wonderful song.

Two of my favorite songs from the Barcelona album are THE GOLDEN BOY & THE FALLEN PRIEST .... they just so happen to be the ones that Tim Rice did the lyrics. Mike Moran said Freddie was out of lyrics for. 😂😂 Freddie put aside his second solo project to finish the Barcelona album!! It was that important to him. 😃

What you just heard was the work of a genius and two of the greatest artists the world has ever seen. Freddie arranged the music and wrote the songs himself. He was an incredible talent that left us too soon. Anyone needing anymore proof of just how good he was needs to check out his album Barcelona. Some of those tracks on that album are simply unreal. I've listened to it many times and always asked myself 'how can anyone come up with this stuff and make it sound so good?', the album is truly stunning. His pop album Mr Bad Guy is also worth checking out, but it's his Barcelona album that is Freddie's best work as a solo artist. From writing and arranging Bohemian Rhapsody, to Barcelona, the man was a genius. I still get teary eyed even after all these years when I listen to his work. RIP Freddie, we all miss you xxx

Its a shame it wasn't actually a live performance its was meant to be but at the last minute they decided against it and mimed. So the April Dominion Theatre performance in 1988 for the Time musical was Freddie's last official live performance but sadly no video footage exists

Rebeka...GREAT review - I have viewed 15 other reviews on RU-vid and 96% are awful in how they orchestrate/present themselves. Its a fine line to stop the review, add comments and continue versus allow the video to flow and make prudent comments at the end. You have mastered it very well and YOU look the part. I knew Freddy's family softly, back in the 70's and visited his family home in Feltham near Heathrow Airport and met his Mum and worked with his brother-in-law Roger. Rebeka, your presentation style is very good. The reviews of the 96% awful did not do their homework and stumbled with Monserrat's name....one needs to pronounce persons name. He was really sick when he sang this... After 1986 his body started decomposing, but his voice remain 'till death. There are only few rock/metal singers which had their voices almost as good as when they started through the years, Freddie's was even improving. At the start he had perfect young man vocal, the he changed to macho tone. From begining 'till end his voice was perfect. He was is and always will be the best singer of all time.
