Oh its such a beautiful version, well worth the wait. Freddie's voice is absolutely astonishing, but then, its Freddie, what do you expect. The quality of the video is insane I see him more clearly here than I can see people in real life. Who knew film was so amazing? Happy late birthday to darling Freddie. You should check out a new video they released on his birthday of a song called "Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow" next.
This came out just recently. He did 2 songs for a play called Time. Dave Clark who produced the musical found this not long ago. The original had Freddie singing with other people. This made me cry. Happy birthday Freddie
About his solo songs, when you get to reacting to Living On My Own, be sure to react to the original music video, not the remix from 93. Same with I Was Born To Love You.
Yes, I am always amazed how Freddie could slip from low to high notes, from fast to slow, from soft to powerful and so beautifully. He had command of his voice for sure like no other singer that was or ever will be!
J, Sept. 5th was Freddie’s Birthday. A must for you to see is Barcelona. Freddie’s personal goal was to sing Opera. This performance will blow you away!
You can find the choral version of this song on YT. This was taken from Dave Clarks musical Time. He went back into the vaults and after years of searching found the tape. Stripped back 90 odd tracks just to get to Freddie and the piano and set to work to restore this masterpiece. They redid the piano and made the video from negative off cuts, and it seems like Freddie is live from heaven. Freddie did solo work, check out Mr Bad Guy LP, but more importantly his proudest work. He met with his idol Spanish soprano Monserrat Caballe and recorded a rock gospel opera album Barcelona. Title track being adopted as the theme of the Barcelona Olympics. It was her home town and the lady could not of been prouder. She adored Freddie and called him a true gentleman and he was in awe of her. May they duet in the clouds for ever.
Love your reaction! In my defense is amazing. Another song from Time. Beautiful vocals & then heart broken. Again Freddie gives such passionate feeling to lyrics not his own. That’s a gift as well.
U said it right Freddie best frontman ever. U must be getting bored from.me asking u to check "Green Day conert, crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody, Hyde Park"
Maybe you can react to the closest thing we've got to Freddy Mercury at the moment. Floor Jansen has for me the same versatility in her voice and also and amazing stage presence. At the moment she is taking part in a Dutch TV show called Beste zangers 2019 she has done 3 songs sofar Vilja Lied an original (in German) aria from the Franz Lehar Opera the merry widow. She did a dutch popular song called Mama en she did a Reageaton / salsa son in Spanish. Just search for beste zangers 2019 in youtube. All thee songs she did with a rock arrangement because she is the current lead singer for Nightwish (a Finnish Symphonic Metal band) . I can recommend anything she did from the Wacken 2013 live show. I think Ghost Love Score (the most reacted to song on yutube) is the best starting point and then the Nightwish army will come flying in to guide you to many more memorable songs and performances.
I can hardly believe that Dave Clark released this!! It’s absolutely amazing. I’m sure he probably had to get Mary’s approval unless it’s something that the band’s’ lawyer , Jim Beach, could take care of.
Some nice songs that are different from what you have heard so far: White Queen, Melancholy Blues, Dreamers Ball 1979, full demo of Stealin', Cool Cat, Lily of the Valley, Nevermore, Old Fashioned Lover Boy, You Take My Breath Away and for Brian's creativity, Black Queen
Freddie Mercury the best male vocalist of all time and there was nothing he couldn't do with a crowd. Freddie Mercury had the crowd eating out of his hand because of his Charisma and Stage presence.. all he would do is raise his hand and the crowd would stand up and he would lower it and the crowd would sit down. That's a lot of power over two or three hundred thousand people and thank God it was in the hands of someone with a good heart and soul. Freddie Mercury did have a solo album or two but his solo album did not sell as well as Queen together. All of them had solo work or with other bands but they were golden as a unit and they were not about to give up the goose with the golden egg which was the whole band.. they realized that after their Live Aid performance!!
Hi! I’m hardcore ARMY and just found your channel so I’m catching up on vids (BTS and others included). Ok rally enjoying them. Suggestion when you feeling it: Singularity. It’s lit.
Me too freddie also makes me smile everytime i hear his songs..unique voice...only one the freddie mercury..so meaningful..so amazing..luv the rasp voice...the range..awww...freddie darling..
Loving your reaction glad I stubbled along your page.. great review...Our darling Freddie surely had a set of pipes no doubt ,and built in auto tune in his Pharynx.
Love Queen. Named my rock project after them back in the day. What sprang to mind listening to this today was how dynamics are not used at all in current compressed and Melodyned vocals. Wonderful voice and command of music. RIP Freddie!
I think it's like he knew how the world was going to be like now we are all turning against each other but in the 70s/80s we actually had respect and cared for each other.
End of 2021 and Freddie still got the Greatest. Do you ever heard his song "Barcelona" ? A duet with the spanish Diva of Opera Montserrat Caballé. I wish you merry Christmas...
Hi Jayvee and many thanks for sharing Freddie's Magic. Do you know Barcelona song with Montserrat Caballé (a soprano)? I think it will be a good reaction for you!
Incredible that Dave Clark released this about 28 years after Freddie's death, and shortly before covid-19 appeared. Eerie! Almost like he came back to warn us. I believe Freddie recorded this about 40 years ago, but this version was never released before! As always Freddie’s genius is astonishing.
I love to watch your face you can see how much you like it with your expressions and I love it. Freddie did this song in 86 for a play called Time. It had a lot of instruments and backing vocals then Dave Clark took it and stripped it down to just Freddie's voice. It was just for at least a few months ago. The other song he did for this play is In My Defence you should check that out and then Living On My Own . also for something really different you should check out Barcelona and the biggest surprise from Freddie is Exercises In Free Love . That will blow your mind
as you own headphones ... do yourself a favour and listen to freddie's "lets turn it on ACAPELLA". you'll have fred's high voice on the left, low own on the right, his as choir and when he hits his "perfect note" (F#) at the end, your ears will be "ringing". promise - that note rings in your ear!!! kind of "painful" for me! that note hurts a bit, but freddie is worth it :-)
You do know that this was just released this year, right? Awesome, huh? They got the original and stripped it to just piano and edited the video to just Freddie. It's like he made a visit from heaven. Even in the video, it looks like clouds and stars. It was originally done in 1985 or 86 fo a soundtrack for a musical. The original video is on RU-vid. Has a lot of instruments and people from the play in it. But, this is so much better!
And now I think you're ready to watch Freddy sing Barcelona. It's a duet. But it's amazing. It's the final realization of his love of Opera. He wrote it. But you know how much he loved Opera right from the early 70s when he wrote Bohemian Rhapsody. It was considered a rock opera. So when he finally wrote and performed Barcelona oh, I think it was an image of what Freddy would have done had he lived on. I'm sure he would have gotten more and more into Opera.
The voice speak's for itself. How can we as people, human's mistreat, beat each other down when we so completely agree on music? If we can with music, there has to be more than 1 thing we can agree on. The Lord didn't put us down here for us to. At war with one another constantly. We war all created in his image. It please me to see this. The young ones.I am a Tennessee born hillbilly. When people hear my accent , they assume I'm stupid.I have even had people from up north actually.ask to have their picture with me ! It's not the same as being black.I am a very educated woman and it just kill's me when people a assume I'm stupid.
A couple of years back the remaining members of Queen released a tribute song to Freddie called "No One But You" and for all those who loved Freddie and Queen it is a real tear jerker of a song. At the end of the video you see a glass of champagne on the piano because Freddie always had a glass of champagne on the piano when in the studio and when you see it it really does pull on the heart strings. It was the last time the remaining three recorded together and it would be great if you could react to it because it shows how talented song writers and musicians the other three where and Queen wasn't just all about Freddie. All the members of Queen had a special talent and that song goes to show it as it was written long after Freddie's passing.
Please Please Please do a triple threat reaction to Iron Maidens Sing of the cross live in rio, Paschendal and The longest day with lyrics PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
